If Joyce doesn't get avoided into oblivion which is possible although somewhat less likely due to him being: a) British b) an extremely fan-friendly superheavyweight knockout machine.. .. then he could potentially solidify himself as one of the very top heavies of this era legacy-wise. Age is a factor, true, but he also lacks wear and tear having joined the boxing brotherhood in his 20's, and is genetically gifted warrior more fit to lead the vanguard of Alexander the Great or follow Hannibal through the Alps, than fight for our petty entertainment. Him being a mandatory probably secures at least one superfight in the future. At the moment his best wins are: Parker (spectacular knockout and first stoppage of an iron-chinned top contender) Daniel Dubois (probably derailed the career and tarnished reputation of an otherwise promising talent) Takam, Jennings, Stiverne etc. Outside of Fury and Wilder & Joshua (depends if they can actually crack him) there is not a single heavyweight I'd bet on to beat him. Whyte is done at top level, Ortiz and Zhang are too old, and Andy would face a man that carries his Ruiz-Joshua weight and looks sexy doing it. Sanchez would need an equally impressive step up fight to convince me he can share the ring with Joyce, and Hrgovic while problematic still needs to pick himself up and enter the top level convincingly. This is me being high on JJ, sure, but I do have a feeling that he is one of the rare modern boxers that won't disappoint if given the chance.
It's a fight I'd love to see, however people are massively underrating AJ. The boy is big and can crack with solid combinations. I would slightly favour AJ gameplan dependant by decision.
Joshua’s boxing skills would be significant here. Think he would win but of course he’s always a danger to gas out. The 2018 Wilder KTFOs Joyce (terrible matchup) but who knows about the 2023 version when they would fight. Have to see what he has left.
Oh, dear god, another b.c. thread. AJ will toy with Joyce with ease. Either KO him or UD him, winning 10+ rounds.
Were they both naked in this dream you speak of? If so, they probably were not boxing. Details do not need to be discussed. LOL
AJ has no heart. Has no mongrel. And the way he behaved the other day, i think hes gone full blown woke. This bloke just gives up. Drops his sword and shield and takes the fkn knee! Why AJ is in ANY conversation is beyond me! He is a name and little else. Had Klitchko jumped on him after dropping him AJ would have been exposed from the start. He has since been exposed. He is now little more than a gatekeeping toy soldier, with a name that can make money. As a fighter he is washed up. .
Joyce is levels ahead Should have turned pro sooner though Only men who can deal with JJ is Fury and Usyk
I would be surprised if this fight didn't happen at some point. Both Brit Olympian heavyweights duking it out is guaranteed to be a big draw in the UK. I could see a case for either fighter winning. Joshua has next level power compared to the other punchers Joyce has faced and he is a pretty good combination puncher so he will test Joyce's chin like nobody else has so far. But can he handle the pressure that Joyce would put on him? If it goes into the latter rounds you'd have to favour Joyce to break AJ down. I just hope this fight happens at some point should be a great fight to watch as AJ hammers Joyce's iron chin with bomb after bomb and Joyce pressing forward and swarming Joshua with his non stop work rate.
