Makes sense no Os to protect both in their 30s & time waits for no one. Maximize profits now, global recession im bound
Both have lost everything and are not in a position to demand anything more, this is an incredibly big matchup even if the belts are not in play, this needs to happen and the fight would be sold big...
No it's not. Wilder team was clear, that they didn't answer back to Hearn offer, and they are all focus on Helenius. Which would be all fine, if Wilder wasn't talking on every TV how he will fight this or that guy, how he want 4th fight with Fury, and how easy of a matchup Usyk will be for him.
I think this fight is as about as likely to happen as Andy Ruiz Jr showing up at 8% body fat in his next fight. Wilder's people have already said no to even talking about a possible fight let alone sitting down and trying to make a deal saying they are focused on Helenius. Just another excuse in a long line of excuses. And we all kind of know that Wilder/Ruiz is the most likely next fight which will probably be a WBC final eliminator.
It's funny how AJ fans haven't caught up to his current 'brand status'. He just failed twice against a cruiser and now has no belts. Of course HE wants to fight all the guys with belts or in line for titles. But why should they fight him right now? I'm no fan of Wilder, but why should Wilder fight AJ now? Wilder can get an eliminator shot and then ultimately a shot at all the belts. AJ doesn't even bring the money he used to either. He's now on the outer and has to work his way back into contention. Stop acting like everyone is ducking him.
We all know Wilder team have no confidence in him winning a fight against AJ hence why they've ducked him for years. Would be a total mismatch if they fought, couldn't see Wilder last more than 3 rounds against AJ.
