I'm going to say it..Cotto has always been overrated!

What do you think would happen if Floyd beats Margarito?, such threads would exist even before the fight is on.

I wouldnt say he made Antonio look foolish if anything he feel into Antomios plan if you watch Mexican fighters there plan is to wear you out even if that means giving up a few early rounds as long as they bank good body and power shots which will help break down a fighter later in the fight
Even with Cotto win alot of the first part of the fight I as many people had Margs winning the fight by the end of the10th

So I think all Cotto did was be Cotto but Margs master plan was even if you lose some ealry round your making him tired making him feel the preessure and land some good shots to the body

And no Cotto is not over rated I just think his fans were way to cocky wich now makes him look over rated
Like when TITO got KO'd by B Hops TITO's fans were saying he could KO a LHW and shyt like yeah they make there own fighters look over rated by how much hype they put on them

 

COTTO is not overrated he was just unlucky saturday night he was out boxing margarito but he coulden't keep up with the pressure applied to him so his gameplan collapsed for him

 

I always thought 2 things:
1.Cotto is chinny.
2. Cotto has suspect stamina.

I think we've seen the last of him as a world force. He started to believe his own hype, but Margo didn't pay any attention to the Cotto hype train. This was a soul destroying beatdown, no flash/fluke KO.

Truth is Cotto has been on ***** street to some average fighters and people said it was making the jnrWW limit that drained him. Well, guess what...Cotto is chinny and has suspect stamina. And is now damaged goods: Like it or not that is how it is.

 

The only difference between the two fighters is chins. Margarito's chin is ridiculous. Cotto threw the type of leather that would KO a donkey. Unfortunately Cotto's chin is his weakest area and this got exposed against Margarito's power and stamina.

If cotto boxed like that against anyone else from middleweight down he would have Ko'd them before the 7th

 

Wrong. Margarito is simply the only person who can beat cotto due to his chin and stamina. Nothing wrong with Cotto's stamina, just his chin.

If Cotto boxed like that against PW he would have KO'd him

 

people want to see boxers fight the best in their respected divisions, Cotto fought the best of what the division has to offer. Why say he is overrated?, he brings excitement to boxing that's why people like him is not because they think he is like the God of boxing.

 

I dont think i would say overrated, he just lost a fight to a better fighter...on that night. The problem that i saw that cotto had that margarito capitalized on was that whenver cotto hit margarito with a good shot that stopped AM in his tracks, he didnt follow up with NOTHING. He danced around as if nothing else mattered after hitting him with good shots that could have probably made a defference in the later rounds if he stayed around and capitalized on his precise blows. On the other hand, along with AM constant pressure, when he did hit MC, he followed up with hammering body shots and good work. But, in all MC can and could beat AM he just didnt do it that night. They were both brilliant, but AM just prevailed. So i dont think that MC is overrated in any way. He is still one of the best fighters out there. AM just beat him and did the things that MC should have done that probably would have made a difference in the fight.

You know what, all of this is correct. He probably was a bit overrated. He's still a damn good fighter though.

 

He really impressed me with his performance sat. night. I didn't expect him to make it past 8 to be honest. When people say he can beat Tito the they are over rating him.
