I forgot that Castillo/Corrales I was 10 rounds, so I'll just edit that one out.

March 8th 1971, Ali-Frazier, the fight of the century and biggest sporting event ever.
Round 15 and Joe Frazier, ahead on points but not coasting scythes the air with his left hook and bounces it off Ali's head and knocks him down.
But Ali got up and finished the fight so who gets the bigger kudos, Frazier for pulling that hook out of his bag or Ali for dragging himself up??

Good one! I've often said that after an exhausting dramatic and punishing fight such as that one, only Joe Frazier could have produced a punch like that in the closing minutes and only Muhammad Ali could have got up from it,and finish the fight. Kudos 50/50 in my book.

    Yeah props to both lads.
Jerry Quarry, one of my favourite heavies, got mauled twice by these two.
George Foreman said he watched Frazier and Quarry slugging it out and smokin' Joe was smiling, he was enjoying it so much:wink:
    What an era that was.

    Mike Weaver vs John Tate
Frank Bruno hanging on against Oliver McCall
Randy Turpin in the 15th round coasting against Sugar Ray Robinson with the patriotic crowd singing "For he's a jolly good fellow" from the 12th round onwards

Chacon v Limon 4 (round 15): With the fight in the balance, Chacon drops Limon with 15 seconds left. Limon makes it to his feet at the bell and Bobby pulls off the win. Incredible finale.

Chacon v Boza 2 (round 12): Bobby does it again with a final round KD against Boza-Edwards.

Morales-Barrera 1: round 5 gets all the plaudits and rightly so, but it was a great final round with a bogus knockdown that seemed to swing things for in Barrera’s favour but just made the outcome more surprising. Classic stuff.

@roughdiamond put me on to this fight: John Duddy v Yori Boy Campas, a very good 12 rounder and the final round in particular is tremendous.

The 12th and final round of Leonard-Hearns 2 was a corker.

Hearns took the first minute before Leonard took over and gave Tommy a bit of a pasting but The Hitman battled back and fought evenly for the rest of the round. Leonard won the round and it saved the fight for him on the cards.
