What would Mike Tyson’s career be like if he was never convicted of **** and served jail time?

Who would he have fought right after Ruddock and how would he have done?

I would have loved to have seen him fight Holyfield in 1991! That would have been a hell of a fight between 2 fighters at their best. The 1996 fight was a great fight tho, but i think 91 would have been way better.

I think he was ruined before prison. He let celebrity go to his head. Then mix in Don King, Robin Givens, etc....

The version that fought Ruddock was probably enough to beat Holyfield IMO.

Evander was his daddy even in 91 if they had fought then. I just think Holyfield always had his number, reckon he would have fought and beat Bowe though, put my money on him against an earlier Lewis aswell and god forbid probably get a Tyson - Foreman fight also. Interesting hypothetical, would Moorer have ever won a belt? Bruno probably wouldn't have won his elusive belt. It could be fun to write up an alternative universal timeline.

He'd have KO'd Lewis and Holyfield.

He'd have just found another way to go off the rails.

As a young man, Tyson had an irresistible urge to self-destruct...

I think it wouldn't be that much different tbh. Now if you ask "what if Cus had not died" then that's completely different.

He was signed to fight Holifield for the titles as his conviction came up then pulled out claiming he had an injury, so he wa have fought Holy and probably lose because he didn`t look good v Ruddock.

Would have taken a loss or two to sturdy fighters with elite jabs. The mythical p4p destructive monster perpetrated on internet forums for decades would be significantly lessened.

I'd say a young non-prison Tyson, from 1992 to 1995, cleans out the division. He beats Holyfield, Lewis, Foreman, Bowe, and Morrison. He cements his status as the greatest heavyweight of all time. But then he keeps going, well past his prime like every great fighter and suffers some losses in the late 90s, possibly in rematches with other top tier fighters, and is never able to recapture his former glory. I'd say he retires by 2004.

Tyson was well on the slide before he went to jail,he simply was not the same fighter after he sacked Rooney.Last fight under Rooney was the Spinks fight when Spinks was lured out of retirement so Tyson could get the Lineal Title from him he craved. Don King persuaded him to sack Rooney and that was the start of his downfall,no discipline,no desire,no blistering combinations,no elusiveness and he became a one dimensional head hunter with no defence,so Tyson started getting hit ! Without Rooney he simply relied on intimidation and the brute force approach as well as also going off the rails with drink and drugs and living the celebrity life instead of that of a boxer. First fight after Spinks with Rooney not in his corner was Bruno and he got hit clean in that fight more than the rest of his career up to that point .

Tyson Fury wouldn't have been born and neither would any of us.

The timeline of the earth would be completely different. The Klitscko brothers would have been pornstars. Anthony Joshua would have beat Ronnie Coleman in the 2000 Mr.Olympia at the age of 10. George Foreman would have become the 42nd President of the United States.

He began to decline -- which also coincided with his facing better competition -- after Spinks, so he'd have had more fights as a young man but he'd have accumulated more losses one way or another. Tyson is the most magnetic fighter of my lifetime but also one of the most overrated.
