I feel like Vitali Klitschko deserved a second shot against both Chris Byrd and Lennox Lewis, the only 2 guys to beat him.

He didn't want one. Chavez hurt him in that fight. Also, he came into camp for the Chavez fight at 190, so he moved up in weight. He only came back to fight Chavez when, after losing to Norris (contractually agreed upon weight of 149) and Espana, it was the best payday on his horizon.

Why do you think that Baer wanted a rematch?

Vitali Klitschko vs Lewis. Had Vitali not been cut so badly, he would have possibly stopped Lewis. Lennox was starting to wear down but that cut was simply too bad for him to continue. Lewis smartly retired after as he was definitely on the downside but I think he knew he dodged a bullet with that cut.

On another note, I am not suggesting that Vitali was a better fighter than Lewis. I'm just saying he was at the time that they fought.

This is a really good one. I know why King didn't, but he should have.

What about Marlon Starling vs Toma's Molinares in a rematch. First one ended on a after the bell punch.

Foreman vs Moorer. How do you not do a rematch or trilogy?

Brewster against Liakovich and Liakovich against Briggs.

Biggs against Damiani and Damiani against Mercer.

There have been some other fights that ended before they even got started like Lubin against Charlo and Grimsley against Thunder.

Joe was in the hospital for three weeks after the fight, right?

Taylor fought at 142 pounds less than 3 months prior to the Chavez bout. It would be a pretty impressive feat to put on 50 pounds and then lose 50 pounds in under three months?

    Unless i have misunderstood?

This is an odd one. Everything about this situation was odd. After obtaining the world title via a no-contest, which is strange enough, Molinares apparently went through some serious personal problems and forfeited the belt a few months later without ever defending it. When he finally got back in the ring he got knocked out by two domestic-level fighters. That was it, career over. With the way things went after the fight, I'm not sure Molinares was ever in condition to have a return bout with Starling.

Meanwhile Starling kept on going like nothing had ever happened.

I’m confused with a few posts here. Either it’s me or it’s Whacky Tuesday and no one sent me the memo. Looking forward to pants off Friday - I work with a lot of women.

No, Frazier was the one who spent more time in hospital.
Ali was back in the ring 3 or 4 months later and fought 3 more times that year.
Joe never fought again that year his next fight was 9 months later.
