If he quit, he is a quitter. Simple as that. Cotto had a attitude of a quitter.

The bottom line is he'd had enough, I wouldn't label him a quitter but he definitely didn't want to continue. He didn't complain when his corner ended the fight.

There's very few people who could've kept going, his nose was in a bad way just after the 2nd round. He was having to breathe out his mouth all the time and it got to the stage where every chance he got he had to spit blood out his mouth as well. He must've had trouble breathing at all.

He knew he wouldn't win the fight, no point in trying to go through another 4/5 mins of hell when he could've been quite seriously hurt.

Well, that's a hypothetical, isn't it? Considering he, unlike Mayweather, has enough balls to step into the ring with Tony, and considering Cotto's face was bloodied, possibly had a broken nose, and threw bombs at a guy that was much, much larger than him, and took a beating all night, Cotto gets a pass in my book.

Not true Cotto looked at his uncle asking to be bailed out of the fight.

    Enough of looking for excuses.

    "He was taking punishment".

    "He was hurt".

What is the conclusion? Cotto had the attitude of a quitter. I can't call him a quitter officially because the corner ended up throwing the towel, though. But he had the attitude of a quitter.

Was he a warrior that battles for eleven rounds? Yes. But that doesn't negate the fact that he had the attitude of a quitter at the end.

put yourself in cotto's shoes at the time of the second knockdown, his corner bailed him out for his own safety

The fact that he spends enough time in from a computer to rack up almost 20,000 posts on an internet forum somewhat proves what a few of us have suggested. He's a couch critic that hasn't even participated in any sport like this.

the thing is that the guy of this threat is an Oscar fan, I wonder what he thought when Oscar went down by a body shot (that needed replay to see where it came from) from Bhops.

And you don't seem to understand my position:

-Cotto was brave and gave a good performance. Deserves respect for what he did during more than thirty minutes.

-He had the attitude of a quitter at the end.

Cotto took on Margarito after Paul Williams had beaten him. Even so Cotto deserves credit ...

Cotto was outboxing Margo easily for most of the fight but the fact is Margarito broke him down mentally. Cotto looked like he didnt anymore of it after the 9th round, mentally he gave up. And when he was beaten up in the 10th and 11th he had wanted no more. Cant blame him but the fact is he lacked mental toughness in the fight.

True enough, we should just leave Asterion to pile up his post count by make ridiculous trolling threads like this.
