The more I’ve had time to think about this it’s simply more astonishing that they intend to go through with the fight. Totally inexcusable. The likes of Eddie Hearn and anyone else involved in facilitating this should never be involved around boxing again in this country if it goes ahead. I don’t know the technicalities around it, but if the board refuse to sanction it - where do they go in terms of getting a foreign board to licence it? Surely the foreign board would need a permit to hold an event in the UK? Where would that come from?
Hearns first reaction to finding out one of his fighters has failed a drugs test - get a court injunction so the fight can go ahead. Ridiculous. Fight should not happen until we see this B sample.
Doesn't he mean since the story broke today. Well of course. Vada testing is paid for by the promoters/fighters. Most fights don't have Vada testing.
