Who is the Top Fighter from Countries around the World? Canada,Mexico,England, Ect.? Yes this is a Continuation of the Top Fighters in each of the Fifty State's. Might as well finish it out.
I have a couple of Fighters: Mexico-Julio Cesar Chavez, USA-Sugar Ray Robinson, Panama-Roberto Duran, Cuba-Kid Gavilan, Puerto Rico- Wilfredo Gomez.
Canada, comes down to your pick between Sam Langford and George Dixon. Most people here will likley pick Langford due to familiarity. Britain, comes down to Cornwal vs Wales. Bob Fitzsimmons or Jimmy Wilde. Cuba, is between Kid Chocolate, Kid Gavilan and Jose Napoles. Russia, I think is clear cut for Newsbow Brown. Panama, I think most people will pick Duran but Panama Al Brown has a case also.
Germany - Max Schmeling Italy - Nino Benvenuti or Dulloi Loi France - Goerge Carpentier or Marcel Cerdan Argentina - Carlos Monzon Sweden - Ingemar Johansson Australia - Les Darcy Japan - Fighting Harada Brazil - Eder Jofre Nigeria - Dick Tiger Ukraine - W. Klitschko well, should be enough for the beginning.
Lennox Lewis from Canada or England? I believe born in England, But somehow fought for Canada in the Amatuers. Is that correct?
Yes, because he lived for a large amount of his youth in the states. His parents are acually from Jamaica but he´s born in London. I would say he´s a Brit. Jamaica - Trevor Berbick
He was born in London but emigrated to Canada at a young age and represented Canada in the olympics. We would have to clasify him as British for the purpouses of this thread.
Yeah, he moved to Canada when he was 12 I think and lived there until he was in his early 20s. He then moved back to England.
OK, Thanks! But wouldn't he have to be a Canadian Citizen in order to represent Canada in the Olympics? Or is he? Yes, But he is considered British for this Thread.
Argentina - Carlos Monzon Brazil - Eder Jofre Panama - Roberto Duran Barbados - Joe Walcott Virgin Islands - Emile Griffith Germany - Max Schmeling France - Georges Carpentier Mexico - Julio Cesar Chavez Nicaragua - Alexis Arguello Nigeria - Dick Tiger Jamaica - Mike McCallum Italy - Duilio Loi
If Langford is the pick for top spot, which I personally think he is, Jimmy McLarnin could present a great challenge to Dixon for the runner-up spot for Canada.
