Ali defended the title 5 times in 1966, not like Fury if the Chisora fight is made, of defending two times in 2022.

Likewise Ali could well have been building up his financial coffers, as he knew he had been made eligible for the draft into the US Armed Services, which he knew he was going to refuse to accept, thus breaking the law, and loss of title belt.

Who goes to see the same rubbish movie three times these days? Maybe if you have Alzheimer's or severe amnesia you might pull up to the theatre and go Oh I need to see that sheeit again. Will laugh if it's put on at Wembley btw. Stick on at the Morecambe Winter Gardens and give the pensioners a spectacle.

 

If he fights Wilder, Wilder, Whyte, Chisora, Usyk as his last 5 fights then its hard to complain really. Joshua would have been nice but they didn't fancy it so whatever.

 

He could have fought a host of guys and especially Joe Joyce but he's too scared to risk the whiskers. Put on an old record instead.

 

If he want's a tune up type title defence, why not someone like Kabayel? Someone different, unbeaten, former Euro champ and beat Chisora comfortably. Michael Hunter could have also been a makeable fight, he was training for Hughie and would be in shape.
