Wilder vs Joshua

Yeah but Wilder's meltdowns appear to be temporary, AJ's reminds me of Mike Tyson when he was completely jaded from the hype and all the bull****, he seems completely disillusioned. Wilder to his credit seems able to take his knocks and bounce back. Wilder is and has always been what he says he is...AJ doesn't appear to believe in himself despite what he says in interviews. Sad for AJ as he is/was a fantastic heavyweight but he doesn't appear to handling adversity too well. Every fight AJ is in he looks progressively worse, he has now been beaten twice by a cruiserweight, KOd by Ruiz then just ran in the rematch. He has not faced either of the top two heavyweights, yet they have fought each other three times.

 

Waste of time to even discuss it because it's not happening. Wilder will take a smaller payday against Ruiz while all the time talking about Joshua and if he beats Ruiz which I think he will, he'll then be steered away from Joshua as they try for a shot at the WBC belt again as WBC mandatory.

Maybe if Wilder loses to Ruiz, then it happens as PBC decide to cash Wilder out as Ruiz is then the one to make a run for the WBC title.

 

Well that is exactly my point. They should take the time and rebuild him.

I don't think he is going to disappear, or anything. It is just going to take him a good while to come back.

 

I hope he can do it, he sure has the tools. Maybe with a rest he can come back rejuvenated. He just seems confused at the moment.

 

AJ will never fight Wilder

in theory AJ has a good chance of beating Wilder based on physical attributes & basic boxing ability .

but mentally AJ is done .
& the people behind him will fear a brutal loss to Wilder will retire the cash cow for good.

 

Joshua's at that point in his career where he should be taking these fights. He's one loss away from becoming almost unmarketable. Imagine he picks a soft opponent like Wallin and loses (stranger things have happened). Good luck selling 2 million PPV buys for his fight with Fury then. Undefeated Fury V 4 loss Josh doesn't have much of a ring to it.

Now's the time for guys like Wilder and Joshua to be rolling the dice, not playing it safe. They both got to the top the easy way, now they have to do it the hard way.

How Joshua does against Wallin has absolutely zero relevance to do how he would do against Wilder

Wallin is a southpaw, light-punching, relatively slow handspeed. Wilder is orthodox, extremely hard-hitting and fast for a heavyweight

Joshua could KO1 Wallin, it doesn’t mean anything, Wilder is still going to KO Joshua if they ever fight.

 

If Fury can't avoid Wilder for twelve AJ certainly cant.

But AJ wouldn't get back up.

 

Maybe for you and me, but not for majority of the people here.


Also how Wilder beat Helenius, has nothing to do with how he can handle AJ.
