Wilder has been following the same formula his whole career and people haven't seen it yet

Wilder: fights a bum that he shouldn't even be in the ring with and then miraculously gets a title shot for beating a C level fighter
His fans: HE'S SOOOOO GOOOOD BRO HE'S BACK HE HITS HARDER THAN MIKE TYSON EASILY HURR DURRR

Wilder has had literally 4 real fights in his career
Luis Ortiz 1: Gets hurt by 75 C- level Ortiz, then the ref proceeds to save him
Fury 1: He thought he could beat and cherry pick an obese drug addict Fury and still lost
    Fury 2-3: Got clobbered
Look at the world ranking of who he's fought, it took him 40 fights to have a real fight lol say what you want about AJ but his resume takes a steaming hot pile of crap all over Wilders

it doesn't matter if it took him 40 fights to step up .
look at the old timers. same thing.

fact is as I understand it Wilder will need to defeat Ruiz to get a shot. so that sounds fair.

Helenius actually was coming off 2 wins against a fighter who was being rated as one of the best up and comers.

    Let's be real here
    Kownacki was trash
His prep for the Robert fight consisted of this: 3 hoagies and 1 run around his apartment building
Ruiz will be his 2nd toughest fight of his career
    Read that again
In 45 fights Ruiz will be his 2nd toughest fight

    He's a manufactured champion. A Haymon/Finkel/Sulaiman PBC production.

we shall see how tough it is

Ruiz was indisputably AJ's toughest fight anyway.. Ruiz absolutely battered AJ in the first fight.
& I do expect Wilder to do much much better than that

    Kownacki was trash. I agree.
but do you consider Ruiz a bum?

It depends WHICH Ruiz you get, you never know which one you'll get
He can be as good as a B+ to as bad as a C-

I see you are giving yourself a nice caveat there.
if Wilder KOs him brutally you can say it's a bum version of Ruiz.

    Ruiz is average
but he's 1-1 with AJ, has never been KO'd and his only other loss was disputed decision with Parker.

if Wilder brutalize him. give him the credit.

That's no Caveat, look at Ruizs career, once he got money he got complacent and even more obese

Actually Helenius started good. He was rocking Wilder. Then he got too reckless and walked straight into Wilder's killer shot.

Fury went life and death with Wilder in the 3rd fight. Fury was a few seconds away from that fight being stopped. So If Fury is the one of the best right now, Wilder is hanging in there around at that top level.
Heck, in the first fight, had that ref waived it off immediately in the 12th, nobody would questioned it. Now, the ref did a good job, but the way Fury hit the floor so hard, many refs would have waived him off immediately. HIStory would be very different right now if Fury Wilder 1 was a Wilder KO12 win.

I agree that Wilder has been extremely protected. But being protected and being one of the best can sometime go hand and hand. Heck, Fury is taking the route of least resistance himself. Yes, you are right about AJ being brought up the quickest; and aside from Usyk, has been the least protected of the top guys.

    look at his career:
he was rated borderline top 10 / top 15 type the whole time, with no great reputation as a KO puncher, up until the day he destroyed AJ on AJ's debut (and only) US outing.
his fights since then are consistent with that quality.

lets say hypothetically that did happen and i told you that wilder hit harder
You gonna accuse me of this
    You are a wilder fanboy
    You are a tyson hater
You are lying tyson actually hit you harder
You got paid by wilder to say he is the harder hitter
    or just gonna say
Tyson is old now back in his prime he did hit harder than wilder
