Ruiz is a sitting duck with his slow feet and stubby arms. He might cause Windmill a few issues with his fast hands but he will get hit. Windmill ko by round 4.
Great fight, I'd like to see Wilder exchange like that with with Ruiz on the ropes. Wilder has blazing speed though that shocks your brain even with a short shot. I favor Wilder but Ruiz has the chin to take Wider deeper into the fight and possibly catch him with something. 214lb Wilder is great but does it affect punch resistance from a 270lb puncher, we'll see.
The term "all wrong for" was made for this matchup. Wilder is all wrong for Ruiz and Ruiz, in shape or not, won't get out of the second round.
As mentioned by others at some point Wilder stops Ruiz. However Ruiz is a proud and brave fighter as Joshua found out first hand and Ruiz will more than likely get stopped but it will be a good entertaining fight and Ruiz will make Wilder work hard every round to get the win .
It's a good match up I favor Wilder. If Ruiz keeps a high guard and his chin tucked in I could see him causing Wilder issues and winning some rounds. I just feel Wilder would eventually get to him as Ruiz's defense isn't the greatest and I think Wilder stops him after the midway point.
Yeah, same take for me, a couple of years back, I would confidently pick Ruiz to beat Deonkey but not now.
Anything but Wilder landing huge shots on his fat head and KO'ing him would surprise me. If Arreola and Ortiz can land big ones, then how does Wilder miss?
Why is there so much call for AJ to fight Wilder? I don't understand why it's such an important fight. Anyway, I won't play amateur psychologist and guess mind states and all that. Based on how I've seen them perform, at their best I see it Wilder KO 6 ish.
Wilder can beat anyone in the division by savage KO, except Fury & Usyk. They are the only guys that have decent enough skill & movement to beat him.
Wilder can't handle fighter that walk him down, like a deer in the head lights. Wilder glass chin and paper body won't fair well against the superior technically and much quicker Ruiz.
