    all sports are fixed to some extent. 99% of the time through officiating or judging.

    Which is (of course) easier to set up and commit to on a relatively straight up and down guy like Dirrell than it is on a smarter, more skilled, sharper guy like Canelo.

    you mean back when caleb was trained by his trailor trash buddy? Now he has a real trainer. if you dont think a new trainer can help you tighten up your craft in 1 year you dont know much about boxing.

    You do know sitting on your punches makes you slower and easier to counter right? Also Canelo is a body puncher, you won’t see those punches have the same visual effect until they slow down the other guy.

    Dirrell old and done, everyone on this site and youtube and any other forum said Plant was gonna win, even the guys who wanted Dirrell to win (like me).

    All this showed was that the decline was not just steep, it was a cliff that he fell off of

    His decline was gradual & then all at once off that Cliff.
    That’s how it typically happens it’s just more exaggerated or appears that way for a seldomly active fighter like a Dirrell.

    Probably true, but a lot of the times only one of the fighters is actually aware of the fix. If Kovalev took a dive, there's a chance Canelo didn't even realize it.
