I’m not a huge mythical matches guy and generally won’t even think about it for a second it generations are too far apart/too different or if there’s so little film available. Been watching a lot of bantamweight lately so here’s some that I’d be genuinely curious about: Any match between Alfonso Zamora, Rodolfo Martinez, Jose Medel and Rafael Marquez, Jose Becerra, Lupe Pintor (I know Medel & Becerra had three early career matches but curious to see at their peaks) Harada-Fenech Fenech vs. all the above Zarate-Olivares Dávila-Rose Dávila-Rudkin Montiel-Duarte Zarate-Harada Olivares-Harada Zarate-Ortiz Olivares-Ortiz Ortiz-Brown

Very thought out pairings George, lots of very good and interesting fights here, a couple of favs : Boza Edwards-Lopez : bombs away from Danny, in your face combos from Boza . W Lopez Briscoe-Fullmer : an almighty brawl, no quarter asked or given . W Briscoe ( very close ) Saad-Galindez : Victors counter punching gives him early lead, but stopped late with multiple cuts. W Saad. Basilio-Graziano : Carmen is staggered and cut, but his incessant pressure, gets him late stoppage. W Basilio All above subject to being pulled apart and dismantled. stay safe guys.

Thought provoking fights, off piste choices that are very appealing, couple of standouts for me : Saldivar - Sanchez- 15 rounds of unbridled action, Vicente pressing the action, Sal counter punching to good effect, both absorbing hard accurate punches, that might have stopped lesser men, mid to end, Sanchez starts to push back, and use his height and size to gain control, and upping his workrate so as to make certain of the win, Saldivar would be showing the effects of the intensity, with a bruised and swollen face ( ala Shibata ) where as Sanchez is virtually unmarked, as is the norm. Tiger - LaMotta - my oh my ! not one for the purist, two of the most unbending wills in the history of boxing, Tiger the more composed, keeps the action at mid to short range, looks to counter Jakes low sweeping left hook, with hard hurtful rights, but always keeping his guard up and tight, Jake being a bit more reckless, defence is leaky at times, and stung at times by Tigers more accurate shots, will get rough at times, ref might have to admonish LaMotta on occasions, over the last 4/5 ( of a 15 ) Tiger is forging ahead, courtesy of his more educated boxing, added to the effort of Jake making 160 he is in complete control, LaMotte's possum act, fails to dupe an old pro like Tiger, once again can see nothing other than a 15 rounder, with Tiger taking the nod. Once again a highly intriguing list, much appreciated. stay safe guys.
