It's also banned in the UK to use in poultry. So Conor must having been buying some rougue Latvian eggs

I presume that these "Contaminated Eggs" were purchased at the same food outlet that also sells "Uncastrated Wild Boar Meat" and "Mexican Beef" amongst its specialities?...

I'm no expert in any of this, The Times article mentions this though -

However, that may prove a fruitless exercise as the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs says that clomiphene is not authorised for use in animals in the UK, including laying hens and chickens. The department also says that the Veterinary Medicines Directorate is not aware of its use, or any evidence that the substance has been found in the British food chain. That said, a small percentage of eggs consumed in the UK are imported.

I dunno mate, if he’s got scientists on the payroll they might be able to provide the slightest element of doubt which could see him get off.

Yep, there appears to be quite a few actual scientific journal articles and studies on it.

    100%

I would have thought they’d have gone down this angle and emphasised their “fertility struggles” for sympathy.

However, they probably realised that his wife would then need to produce evidence of a medical prescription for clomiphene as part of the legal argument and realised they couldn’t use that.

Even the egg defence sounds flimsy thinking about it. They’d have to produce receipts or evidence of purchase in bank statements etc and they can track down the source of the eggs and maybe conduct some sort of analysis at whatever farm or factory produces the eggs.

Surely it needs to be a bullet proof defence with strong evidence otherwise everyone could just successfully cite “contamination” as a defence.

Apparently a plastic toy found in one of the samples. Clear evidence he's been eating Kinder eggs

Hasn’t been widely reported yet but Benn also tested positive for being a massive whopper with a terrible beard transplant

Funnily enough "Latvian Egg" was the name of one of the fighters Matchroom were getting in to fill out their next card.

I was looking forward to what they came up with.
That's a cracking excuse. Maybe they were inspired by Dillian Whyte and Tony Yoka failing tests? No way they'll beat the charge with this. Glad it's been revealed finally because I'd had un oeuf.

They seem to have gone big on scientific evidence.
Benn's Mrs is compiling a food diary as we speak FFS!

To think Chris Eubank Junior didn't get 'laid' during the build up as well.
