Bob Foster of 1968 vs Victor Galindez of 1976, 175 lbs, 15 rounds. Does Bob pick Victor apart with his long left jab? Or does Galindez force his will upon Bob to wear him down, let's hear some thoughts on this fictional match?

Marvin Johnson knocked Galindez (albeit an older version) clear across the ring with a single shot.

Foster might knock him into the fourth row.

Galindez had all he could handle vs Jesse Burnett, who was somewhat like a poor mans Foster without the devastating power. So logic tells me that the much better Foster would likely KO Galindez within 10 rounds.

Still I do think Foster resume is kind of underwhelming though, and definitely would of looked better with Conteh and Galindez on there.

No excuses but the Jesse Burnett fight was in 1980 just before Victor's untimely death. I am talking about prime Victor Galindez of 1976, not past his prime 1980. I could easily say that Miguel Angel Cuello knocked out Burnett on May 21 1977 in round 9 to capture the vacant WBC Light Heavyweight Title, but then I have to endure the violin playing excuses of Jesse had jet lag.

Foster jabs Galindez' head off but the South American is tough and durable enough to last the distance.

    Foster by clear UD.

Burnett fought Galindez twice once in 1976 and once in 1980, I haven't seen the first fight but from what I read Burnett was unlucky to lose a decision. Their rematch which i actually watched few months ago, was at Cruiserweight and Galindez looked out of shape with the extra weight. Still it was a very good fight and one of the most underrated Cruiserweight fights.

But i stand by what i said before Richard, if the reports are true that Burnett gave Galindez all he can handle in their first meeting, and then Burnett went on to actually beat Galindez in their 2nd meeting. Although Galindez was past his best I still believe it was a style issue. And the fact that Burnett resembles Foster somewhat, i don't really favour Galindez against Foster.

Yeah Dynamicpuncher. I do recall the second meeting in Anaheim, California in 1980, but thanks for the info of their first meeting. I do know that Galindez lost in the second meeting.

Galindez wouldn't be able to take Foster's devastating left hook, then again not many could.
Foster by ko around the 6th.
    Sheriff Bob's left hook............WoW

Foster stops him on cuts. Bob uses his height and reach to pot shot from the outside. Victor resorts to fighting off the ropes in an effort to lure Foster in to traps bit it doesnt work. Finally a mercy stoppage as Victors face is a bloddy mask

Good Post, a bloody mess as in the first Mike Rossman title bout on Sept 15 1978, when Victor Galindez was stopped on cuts.

Foster would have stopped Galindez at some point in the later rounds. Galindez was a bull and a tough fighter but against a dangerous puncher with a long reach his face will be a bloody mess.

Foster stops Galindez anywhere from 12 to 14. He could possibly floor him, but a cuts stoppage is most likely.
