Loma - Never really got the hype to be honest, yes he's great and even one of the best of his generation but never really saw him as a once in a generation type level fighter that some make him out to be. I think he's amazing at what he does but I just don't think he's as well rounded as some make him out to be. Usyk always impressed me more and saw him as a more versatile and complete as a fighter.

Bowe - Probably didn't help the first time I saw him fight was against Buster Mathis Jr where he was lucky not to be disqualified. I just saw a slow out of shape heavyweight with two lead feet. Obviously he was better than that but it's hard to shake a first impression. The next time I saw him against Hide where again he didn't really impress and as my knowledge of boxing has grown over the years I still remain unimpressed. Even the version that first beat Holyfield, I see as many flaws and strengths. Maybe he could have gone onto become a true ATG like Futch had hoped but he never really fulfilled Futch's expectations of him.

Spence - Good fighter, but not the P4P top contender he was made out to be when he burst onto the scene. He's good at what he does and is a tough fight for anyone but again like with Loma, I do not see a complete fighter with the versatility to be regarded as the best of a generation. I don't see him as a RJJ, Hopkins, Leonard level fighter, more a Winky Wright or his era who luckily doesn't have anyone who's a serious threat apart from Crawford, who I believe will beat him if that fight is ever made.

Haney, just a weight bully with no power that constantly holds, he`ll be destroyed at 140.

100% agree. I first saw him against Brook and the Sky commentators were blowing smoke up his arse the whole time. Up until the breaking of Brook's face I saw nothing that distinguished him as a special talent. Seen nothing since either. Definitely very good, but there are lots of very good boxers around.

    You're wrong about Loma though.

You make some compelling points on all three, though i believe Loma started at Pro too late into his Career & Spence is still a very solid great fighter but at the same time agree with you about him not having any serious threat in his W.Division, with that said i believe we can determine more about him once he moves up to people more at his level of size & power.

    Spence was great against Ugas.

    Agreed on Fury.

Maybe I am wrong about Loma and will change my mind at some point. I haven't watched him as extensively as many on here if I am honest. I never used to think much of Marquez either, just thought he had a bad style for Pac and not much more but after watching a lot of his fights during the first lock down realised I had greatly underrated his skill level. I missed a lot of the more subtle things he did and that maybe the case with Loma. I really need to watch more of him at some point to really cement my opinion of him to see if I have judged him too harshly which is understandable consider he came after the era of fighters like Pac and Mayweather.

    lomachenko to some extent.

but 100% josh taylor. I see nothing in this guy. Yes, he's good, above average, that's all. All that p4p, atg, blahblahblah? I see nothing of that, nothing at all.

True, though can't fault you after watching a Manny Pacquiao the rest are hard to follow in many categories.

He's certainly not looked particularly special at lightweight, aside from the first half of his fight against Linares, and I wonder if that's the weight people judge him at. I just hope history remembers what he did at feather and junior light, because I think he was so special there.
