Garcia is much more marketable. He has a movie star look, so he has appealed to the younger demographic who actually buy his fights. He also appeals to the Mexican-American guys because of his ancestry. He also will always get the core boxing fan to bet his fights because we get every fight. From what I've been hearing, Tank isn't a PPV guy. He can get people to come to his shows provided that they are either in Baltimore or California, but other than that, I haven't seen him do well anywhere else. I don't think he's ever done a show in Las Vegas or New York. And his PPV numbers have tanked the last couple performances, just like many PPV's lately. People are getting wise the the Showtime/PPC paradigm of putting trash shows on PPVs.
On paper Ryan Garcia has the looks and style to KO opponents so is a promoters marketing dream, however in the long run his heart and commitment is still up for debate so possibly Tank could end up being more marketable.
Don't know about who's more marketable but tank is the bigger draw so that's all that really matters pac was more marketable than pbf but pbf was the bigger draw. Marketability is overrated, drawing power is where it's at.
Ryan a pretty boy....Tank a bad boy....depends on ones taste. I'd say Garcia since he'll draw the latino hordes.
One is a cringey hot dumb but articulate twink who looks like a member of Menudo with vicious KO power, the other is cringey ugly mush mouthed and dumb stumpy fidget that looks like a Cabbage Patch Kid with vicious KO power. The answer is as elementary as your compulsion to never capitalize people's names.
Seems like the men on this forum are more attracted to Garcia than women are. Geesh. Anyhow, hard call for me. Both are easy sales based on a number of things.
Both my sons know and like Garcia, he's social media popular but Tank absolutely has a bigger boxing fan base, he's bordering on legit superstardom. Large fan base, and he has the support of his own peers, most other boxers regardless of weightclass talk very highly of Tank (except his potential opponents in his division). I'm not gonna say why a lot of people are saying they don't like Tank, I could but I won't.
