I watched Hatton's KO before switching to the football. DAZN coverage starts in a few in a minutes and aye I'm tuning in for this one.
Apologies for late RBR thread, guys. Its up now - https://www.boxingforum24.com/threa...erto-ramirez-plus-full-undercard-dazn.695029/ Believe main card is starting now.
That's decent. Can't imagine the ticket prices needed to be that cheap out there either. Whatever people think about DAZN, Matchroom won't be bleeding money on shows like this, they'll be well in profit.
The lure of Bivol had me rejoining DAZN for this one, at least for a month or so. Have to say I thought this event was a marked improvement in comparison to other middle east shows. The stands were mostly full, sometimes the white garbed fans can look like empty seats but in the main there were enough there to give the event a big night feel. Boxing was good which helps, though there were a couple of occasions some of the crowd looked knackered, understandable given the local time. Anyway, no complaining from me, enjoyed the night's boxing. Promising signs that Diamante may be losing his voice, Mannix and co were decent in the commentary booth and Bivol was a cut above, a rolls royce of a boxer.
That Diamante performance was appalling. I'm already at the point I can't stand how spastic he is with his vocalizations but here he sounded like absolute rubbish. Why do we have to sit through his painful rasping wondering if he's going to be able to get through the next syllable? It's time to give the gig to someone else.
Diamante's voice was not good on Saturday. Was he sick ? On the other hand, it was a real pleasure to listen to Barry Jones.
Barry Jones , informative and knows his stuff. Like macklin also tbh , it's the "celebrity" ones who don't know anything about boxers early careers etc who annoy me
Is he the one who is forever shilling cigars? Maybe not a good habit for someone who makes his living with his voice? Or they were all partying too hard the night before. Agree on Barry Jones. He did a good job, like him on the BBC podcast as well. Positive without being cloying.
