I was very worried for Aidos when he got stopped like that. Especially after he buckled after the fight was stopped
    Prayers to him

I had compassion for him when I saw him stumble and that Morrell helped him back to his corner, his face completely beaten…I hope he can pull it off my prayers are with him.

This is always horrible but it seems so much worse when it happens in a fight I watched and enjoyed. Guilt starts kicking in. Good luck, Aidos.

I only saw the last couple rounds and he was getting hammered.

The ref should have stopped it early in the 12th round after the KD.

Good luck to him. I hope he makes it through.

Sickening. I actually stopped watching after the 10th round because I didn't like where it was headed and thought his corner was clueless. I posted in the RbR that it needed to be stopped and logged off. Have been worrying about this outcome ever since.

That sucks. When you’re fighter is refusing to not break from a clinch, or separate upon ref command you need to consider him unable to defend himself and throw in the towel, even in the twelfth round—it’s not like he was ahead in the fight

Such a shame, the fight could’ve been easily stopped much earlier.

Same, I was wondering what type of state he was in after the fight. Since I hadn’t heard any news about it all day I just assumed he was fine. Very sad to hear.

Ah man, that sucks to hear. If you watch round 12 again, about halfway through the round he clutches onto Morrell and starts blinking in pain. For the next 20 seconds, he tries his best to tie up, just before having the point deducted, and then stopped. I know it's all well and good after the fact, but his team should have thrown in the towel...he wasn't winning and was only going to get damaged in the 12th.

Fingers crossed for Aidos, you hate to see this in the sport we love.

He put his heart out there and showed the world who and what he is. Hope he makes it back.

Don't let it, it's just allowing yourself to be compelled into hypocrisy. If the worst were to occur (I hope it doesn't), that performance is what he should be remembered by, his monument, his declaration of who he really was. As far as we non-family with no other intimate knowledge of the man are concerned, at least.

I stopped watching in the 10th. I could see what was happening...again.

The ref and his corner have a lot to answer for. There was no reason for him to take the sustained beating that he took till the final knockdown.

Some people are just never going to ****ing learn. Boxers aren't robots.
