Then why....I wanna know, didn't the Apostle Kenny extend the same humanitarian compassion to the very distressed Brother Bobick in their bout....which I remember so much?

Because Bobick wasn’t going down (for all money like Stephens was) from any single punch until he immediately hit the deck after Norton’s final right hand.

And you might remember that when Bobick arose, the ref ignorantly waved it back on but Norton clearly didn’t move into engage given the bad shape Bobick was in - then the ref finally waved it off.

The thread asks participants to present examples of fighters who exhibit "the most chill and calm outside the ring" (emphasis added). I think Joe Louis is a good example of that.

I just thought of another — hard to judge from a single, brief encounter, but it occurred to me when I was switching to a new phone today and moved all my pics and contacts and stuff over, including my screen saver.

That screen saver is a closeup of a WBC belt that I took. I was at a weigh-in in Las Vegas several years ago and as we were leaving ran into Leo Santa Cruz, who was on the card and had weighed in, out in the lobby. He’s chatting with some people. I asked if I could take a picture of his belt and he said sure and held it up for me so I could get a good shot.

Then he said (and I am a total stranger), ‘Would you like to hold it?’ Well sure, haha. And just handed it to me. Then he got one of his people to take a couple of pics of us together on my phone while I was holding the belt. Classy young man for sure. Really made my day. Of course I wished him luck and I was already a fan but I became a big fan that day.

Considering that’s right after a weigh-in and he probably wants to go eat and he’s got a title fight the next day, I’d say that’s pretty damned chill.

Yep, if Ali thought he'd hurt a man he'd sometimes signal the ref to step in, same as Larry.

Most pro/ amateurs fighters are chill outside of the ring. Most are fully confident in themselves and would try to walk away than get into some type of altercation.
Theirs a small minority that seemed to get caught up in foolishness more than the majority as a whole.
Using myself as an example I was much more inclined to be ultra aggressive when I was a novice martial artist , then a experienced one. When I got into boxing I was even more chill.
But it has helped me during my 28 year law enforcement career. I can handle situations without going to deadly force. Usually by simply "talking ".
