You can't object. If Inoue had beat the P4P king and they gave it to one of the others you would kill everybody

Cuadras giving Estrada a tought night was more due to Estrada being war torn. Caudras and Rungvisai have looked awful in the last few years. Surprisingly, Roman looks fresher than Estrada esepcially since he was brutally iced by Rungvisai. I don't think Nonito got old overnight. He said he came into the fight in the best shape of his life (no weight loss regimen as part of camp), the most motivated he has ever been, and he looked crisp with his shots and light on his feet until that picture perfect right hand scrambled his senses. He's going to clean out 115 if he decides to drop down.

This might be the case and I'm not arguing otherwise but we're comparing Bam-Rod's year to the other fighters on the list and other than Bivol they're less impressive IMO. Inoue icing Nonito was impressive but the later is 39 y/o. Sure Nonito looked good in his previous 2 fights but it could just be a case of age catching up with him.

Inoue this year has no chance....maybe next year but i think Fulton and MJ will hide behind their promoters and duck him...he should go to 135 and knock Haney out..

If Fury can crank out another 2-3 fights with Chisora before the year end then he might be able to qualify for "fighter of the year".

Kenshiro Teraji also had 2 very good wins. If Roman Gonzalez defeats Estrada then he should also be in contention

Wow, you just made Inoue's win over Donaire sound better than Bivol's win over Canelo. You may be deluded but you are good at it.

    1. Bivol
    2. Teraji
    3. Bam
    4. Haney
    5. Inoue

    HM. Hector Garcia, Shakur

If Chcolatito iwins in spectacular fashion against Estrada, i.e. domination capped by a stoppage, he might have a case for number 1. He'll be number 2 at absolute worse.

Ioka and Estrada can get into the top five on my list with wins over Gonzalez and Franco, respectively.

Edit: Bam slipped my mind. I didn't think he struggled all that much in his last fight, but still would have him firmly behind Bivol, at present.

The level of mental gymnastics here is incredible. Congratulations.

Obliterating your statement is mental gymnastics? Sure, if that's what you need to label it to cope. Just like when you insisted that SSR was the much bigger man than Bam when every single available image and frame of film says you're a delusional dummy.

If not outright better, it's not far behind. Optics favor Clenelo (face of boxing, huge fan base, P4P #1 ranking due in large to the aforementioned items), but take a closer look. Clenelo has historically looked bad against guys with movement (Mayweather, Lara, Trout, Golovkin I and II) and 168 was a wasteland with guys like Saunders and Plant looking bad and/or pedestrian in their previous bouts and still had success against Clenelo. We saw what Nonito was about. Nonito had 2 highlight reel KO before the first Inoue fight and 2 more before the rematch. Too much emphasis on Nonito's age as a detraction whilst ignoring what he was actually doing. Pac, Marquez, Hopkins, and Floyd all operated at an elite level despite advance age.

Bivol dominated Clenelo. Inoue destroyed Nonito in scintillating fashion. Manner of victory counts as well.
