I think schmeling, with his superior smarts and weaponry would have been too much for the iron chinned Farr. It would have gone 15, but Max would have won the nod by virtue of a body attack and the deterrent effect of those short straight right hands as counters to Farr's own left.
The other Welshman who Schmeling fought, William Gypsy Daniels, ko'd the German in one of their two fights.Schmeling won the other on points. Tommy Bach would push Schmeling all the way and I wouldn't bet against him. Years of jokes about Fainting Phil Scott and fragile British Heavyweights in general stopped when Thomas George Farr came on the scene. One of my trainers used to tell me years ago that Farr was older than his given birthdate of 1914 and a few years ago he was proved correct, even if it's only 1913.
Schmelling at his best would get the win, but by this point, Schmelling was clearly aging and somewhat inactive, so I think Farr can pull this off
