    Who’s comparing 69 Liston to 64 Liston?

    Obviously not me.

I focused on Martin’s own qualities as at that time - qualities that were being underrated in a prior post.

Context is everything but often sorely missed.

EDIT: My post fell inside the quote - I am too lazy to rectify it.

Sorry, bro, I took it wrong. I am seeing a lot of assessments of Liston based on his performance against Martin. I must have lumped your comments into that group.

Well thankfully he'd have him out of there a long time before the 15th when those 94 punches were waiting to be unleashed.

"Marciano had twice as many fights as Liston"

Marciano only had 12 with 4 losses which makes Liston being a golden gloves champion with only 6 fights all the more remarkable

Marciano's amateur career was better than people make out. A few losses in the first year. In the second year, his only loss was a very close decision to Coley Wallace who - despite a patchy professional career - was a star at amateur and went on to win the tournament.

But how many prison amateur fights he had?
    No one mentioned that.

I'm quoting someone else saying Marciano had more amateur fights than Liston.
    I don't think he did

    True.
I think that there is video of Liston golden gloves?
He lost that fight I think

I think that Sonny Liston won against Ed, but people who have seen him versus Sanders said that Sanders won and that Liston used illegal tactics.

Sanders reentered the 1953 Gold Gloves Tournament and fought future World Heavyweight Champion Sonny Liston in the 1953 Chicago Golden Gloves Championship fight. Sanders entered the fight with a broken thumb, which hampered what was still considered a good performance. Liston emerged victorious, though witnesses at the fight accused Liston of clutching Sanders illegally, and still others in the audience felt Sanders won the fight. Sanders was invited again to the Intercity Golden Gloves Tournament but turned down the opportunity due to the thumb injury.
