Montana Colton Love vs. Steve Spark & Christian Tapia vs. Thomas Mattice RBR.

I thought it was a harsh decision. Having a point or two taken off would've sufficed.

 

Stop acting like love was even a titleholdrer or some special talent. It was a good win in a fight spark wasn't expected to win but come on. I picked love to lose in the official kirk boxing thread last year 2 fights ago. I said he had talent but is flawed and needs alot of work. He was never going to be a real factor at 140 despite his flashy gimmick trying to market himself with him bringing his dog to the ring. Spark is the better talent more skilled and will make more noise than love will. I had a soft spot for love because he was a business owner and owned a salon like me which I thought was smart for a young fighter instead of blowing money on dumb **** he opened a successful business. I think with the emergence of spark the 140 pound division just got alot better and he has a bright future.

 

Steve could have easily landed on his head or broken a body part, Love is lucky he was athletic and Steve landed on his feet.

 

I just watched the incident on a highlights video on YouTube.

There needs to be serious consequences for this kind of behavior.

 

It was the right decision. Love was losing anyway, that's why he resorted to the illegal behavior.

Completely deserved, you can't deliberately throw someone out of the ring, Love just wanted a way out, prior to that he spent about 10 seconds fighting like an uncoordinated loon. Too emotional to be a top level fighter, the top guys batter him.

 

Montana Love's chin couldn't handle Stevie's power. His temperament couldn't handle a tough fight that wasn't going his way.

 

If the doc would have stopped the fight after the headclash, it would have been a majority draw.

You know Love has some serious skills but he gets into sparring wars with world class boxers that are just stupid. I saw him spar Lubin and he was eating bombs from someone that can bang. Also saw him with Tank and the samething. I wonder if these sparring sessions age a boxer quicker then normal.
I think he could have been a factor at 140lb at one time but I question if he is losing his ability to take punishment now.

 

Not acting like anything. Being from the US you don't understand how hard it is for Aussie fighters to make it on the world stage at all so when we get a victory it is a big deal and the fact that Love carried on like an ass clown makes it even sweeter. Never underestimate the Aussies they may not all be world class but they are tough AF. Spark was brought in as cannon fodder and he flipped the script.

Like I said earlier he should've been dq then. I have no problems with spark. I think he will go much farther than love will. In your previous post I understand your passion for your fighters and I respect it. I like spark I like his style he was going to win but I just wanted to see a fight end in either a tko or a decision. Love is a gimmick he's style over substance I knew that spark beating him is better for the division.
