Froch Vs Pascal - One of the most underrated fights in history?

    The 6th December 2008 was a historic night for boxing. In boxing circles mostly remembered for Pacquiao-De La Hoya.
    In the UK there were 2 competing cards. Sky Sports Box Office event “Judgement Night” featuring the big fight as well as Amir Khan and Audley Harrison.

    ITV were broadcasting free to air Froch vs Pascal for the vacant WBC super middleweight title and also the professional debut of Tyson Fury.

    Being big boxing fans, we had family and friends in our living room watching Sky Sports but one of my more serious boxing fan friends put ITV on in the dining room and was standing between the two rooms. I think it was during the Audley Harrison fight he came into the living room and went “you wanna watch this fight in the dining room, it’s well better”.
    We were like “nah” but as the fight went on and he was jumping up and down, we gradually migrated into the dining room.

    Please watch or rewatch it if you like and let me know your thoughts

    Carl Froch always comes to fight plus Pascal was no slouch and he was part of that brief Canadian wave of the mid 2000s.

    It was an excellent scrap. Froch puts Pascal down early but Jean battles back.

    Titanic encounter with both guys giving and taking bombs and leaving no question unanswered about their chin or heart!

    Instant fan of both after this, although I had been following Froch domestically, this was his break out for me

    That fight right there made me a huge fan of Froch and I also watched most of Pascal's televised fights off the back of that performance.
    That Froch against the Calzaghe of the Eubank fight would have been an ATG British fight for the ages!

    Had no idea Frochy had a serious woman before Rachel, ( whoever the cutie is sitting ringside with his mom.)

    Super J would beat Froch pretty handily IMO. Even though I do rate Frochy higher, Joe has a bad style for him.

    Excellent fight. Carl's jab was a big factor in this one as Pacal could not get out of the way of it.

    Froch-Pavlik would have been a fun fight at 168.

    Very good fight i remember this was the fight that introduced me to Pascal, i started watching all his fights after this.
