He actually reminds me a little bit of Prime Kessler.. pre Montoya, when he was more controlled & less gun ho.. constantly using that really snappy quick one two.. go and have a look at some Kessler & you'll see what I mean , they are quite similar in some ways.. Bivol has better footwork tho.. but I would say Kessler has a bit more natural power

I would say Chocolatito, Loma, and Bivol are the best when it comes to combination punching. I agree that Choco is still the best, the guy really knows how to put together fast accurate combinations.

The creativity that he shows with his punches is astounding to watch. He's the best combination puncher since JMM. Just an exquisite technician and exciting fighter.

His combinations are always the same, straight punches. He's good, very good, but I doubt that he's the best.

He's the best at judging distance, though. No other figther judges distance like bivol does. Not even canelo.

Offensively I don't think he is the best combination puncher perse, but he may well be the best combination puncher whilst remaining 99% defensively responsible. Even when flowing combinations together Bivol never neglects his defence, and along with his awesome judging of distance is probably his strongest attribute.

    Usyk too big.

But no Chocolatito is still the best. Bivol is excellent as is Inoue. Loma is passed his form IMO

He's a good combination puncher but he lacks a bit in punch variety and imagination. His stand out strengths imo is his ring generalship and ability to turn his opponents forcing them to constantly reset (which creates opportunities for him to land flurries).

It has been stated by many here but Roman Gonzalez still has the best combination in the game right now.

For a non midget, he probably is. His rhythm and timing are a little different and unpredictable. He also stays balanced and defensively responsible. Maybe not the best but among the best. A very effective well rounded fighter. Always disciplined, balanced and in control. I wish he’d let his hands go more but his punches pack more power than he’s given credit for. He was hurting Zurdo and Canelo and landing shots accurately in combination. I love how he’s so relaxed and in control. It’s what gives him great endurance. Tough fighter with excellent boxing skills.

I love the comments from Canelo fans on the second video. They were all sooo confident Canelo was going to be too slick, too fast and knock Bivol out. After the fight they changed their tune to “Bivol too big”. He gave Canelo a beating and a boxing lesson. Hope he gets the chance to do it again as Canelo promised.

It's really a shame that Roman ducked Inoue. I would have loved to see how their styles matched up. Inoue would have broken him down and stopped him, but it would have been fun for as long as it lasted.
