WBA Tournament : 1967 Jerry Quarry vs 1967 Karl Mildenberger, 12 rounds. At the time of the WBA Tournament, Ring Magazine had favored Mildenberger to win the vacant title based on Mildenberger's performance against champion Muhammad Ali on Sept 10 1966. Who wins and why? No mentioning of current heavyweights please, they were not even a thought yet. Does Jerry score a knockout?

Tricky fight. An excellent counterpuncher vs a crafty south paw. I’m leaning towards Quarry as he ultimately had the better track record of success but stylistically this is a complicated fight.

I think so too. More of a chess match than a physical fight. Scoring would be close and interesting if it went the distance

I'd have to go with Quarry South paws lasted exactly 94 seconds with Quarry in his career.
