Has anyone read 'Fearless Freddie: The Life and Times of Freddie Mills'?

I was in a library today and saw it on a shelf.

I started flicking through it and was shocked to see three post-mortem photos of him - two of them close-ups of his face, showing the bullet wound.

There was no need for that at all.

I was startled to see Mills laid out on a stretcher a number of years ago...

the newest Mill's bio is a complete waste of time & money it literally just regurgitated the Mills story from the early bio's and offered nothing more or extra.

Who Killed Freddie Mills, is a much better insight & wider look into Freddie's Life, Career and his Death of course.

I think 'Fearless Freddie: The Life and Times of Freddie Mills' was published in 2017. Is this the newest biography?

When you saw Mills laid out on a stretcher was that a picture from a different book?

The least graphic photo showed him lying dead on a table, still wearing a suit, covered in blood.

    It was so disrespectful.

Yeah, that's the Book, garbage, buy the Old Books, more feeling as they were closer to the actual times, all that fella did was repeat and regurgitate the earlier books...

Who Killed Freddie Mills, is a good one, as previosly mentioned.

    Yeah that was the Picture,

I can't remember where I first saw it, was in a book, I'll have to look at my Stock, MOST of which I have Sold On - 100 Years of Boxing History...

    but I did retain a lot of 1930s & 40s material.

Read the The Secret Life of Freddie Mills by Michael Litchfield. Deals with the Jack the Stripper killings in the early 1960's and the author says near the end of the book that Mills was the killer, that is why he killed himself.

A good read, how much of it was fiction is a good question.
