Wilder wants Joshua next

Perfect timing from Finkel. As above it’s been 3 months since the Usyk fight and still no closer to knowing who Joshua will fight next or even who his trainer is. He could have had a month or 6 weeks off completely and still had time to get a tick over fight sorted in December/Jan with a new trainer.

As it stands though I can’t see it happening, there’s no way they will put him straight in with wilder on the back of two defeats.

 

No excuses from Joshua and Hearn. Get the fight done.

Although the only possible fly in the ointment might be Joshua's continuing studies of what's going on in Ukraine. He doesn't really know what's going on but it's not nice. He might have to apply for a sabbatical from Watford University, which will mean his diploma will be delayed - apparently something he's not happy about doing because Elton John is handing out the certificates at graduation.

 

Reckon you could send Joshua, Whyte and Chisora in one after the other with Wilder and it wouldn’t go 2 rounds.

Joshua has been rocked by Whyte, Povetkin, Rice Pudding Jr, Usyk and Klitschko.

If anyone believes that he would beat Wilder then they are either contending that he would be able to take Wilder's right hand or that he'd avoid it for the duration of the bout. I can't see either scenario happening.

I give Joshua more of a chance against Fury because he'd be able to settle in to the bout a bit more. I think both bouts would be tentative, but more so with Wilder, and that suits Wilder just fine.

 

Wilder is a dangerous man and incredibly tough. This myth that Mitch and seemingly anyone from Brixton perpetuates that he has a glass chin is just laughable. He's as hard as nails.

 

Yep. Wilder hits harder than Ruiz and...well, Joshua gets hit. AJ also doesn't have half the heart Wilder does.

Wilder in 9 at the latest.

 

You would have to blind to not see that AJ has lost his ability to play the ‘stay humble’ act. He has also not been the same in the ring since Ruiz Jr 1. There are miles on clock on show now.

Wilder would land something big on him and AJ wouldn’t recover from it. AJ would be dropped 2-3 times before having the towel thrown in on him. All in the first 5-6 rounds.

 

Don't know why it's now on Hearn and AJ to make Wilder an offer though. If they want the AJ fight, make him an offer.

Pre-empting a dull few weeks of ifl interviews with Hearn saying no offer has been received, queue bs about him being biggest player, need DAZN money, AJ biggest draw still and all reliant on him and AJ to offer Wilser fight. We will hear AJ Wilder is biggest fight in boxing then hear some dull bs about contracts and unacceptable clauses, unreasonable split demands and then hear must be signed by christmas or its done.

End of April we will then see AJ vs Wach in Saudi announced for AJs one fight of the year

 

The thing is, AJ can never have just a tickover fight, because it's got to be built up to this bloody massive main event nonsense, and probably PPV, with accompanied publicly etc etc.

It's not like he can bob down to his local leisure centre, and knock out a local ham n egger in front of a couple of hundred people, because he's the "A Side" etc etc.


I've always thought Wilder would beat him, despite his sometimes awful fundamentals, because he carries his power late, is actually physically tough, and has a ton of heart.


Nothing that's happened since the dull round Robin of excuses has changed my mind

 

Remember when they played "He's ducking me" political peekaboo for ages when they were both undefeated and at the top of the food chain? Wasted super fight, now it's just a fun possibility with a fifth of the hype.

 

Hearn's team isn't going to put Joshua in there with Wilder. They'll take a good couple of years building the bodybuilder up, before he's in contention for a title shot again. The wheels are pretty much off for the pair of them, and the money isn't there now.

 

Mainly because Wilder wouldn't go beyond a round with AJ hence the history of ducking and all the turned down offers.
