Well no, he didn't have an easy time with Williams by his own admission, suffering a busted eardrum in their first fight, and being rocked and staggered in their 2nd fight, and on the losing edge of a slugfest until he unleashed a vicious right hand.

Thanks for proving my point. Chuvalo gave Ali a much better fight despite the reflection of the scorecards. Giving Ali kidney problems as you stated? Did Foster do the same?

Also Chuvalo faced a peak Ali. Foster faced a post-exile very overweight one.

OK. Do you think Berbick gave Holmes a "helluva fight" even though he went the distance?

Using your logic, Foster gave Ali a better fight than Frazier did in Manilla because he went the distance and Frazier did not.

You talk more **** when it comes to Williams. Its ridiculous. You keep describing the Foster-Williams fights as these close slugfests that Foster had to come from behind to pull out. You obviously havent seen those fights. Both fights were slow with both fighters being cautious. Williams was robotic and slow and as soon as Foster tagged him he wobbled. In both fights when Foster hit Williams his legs went rubbery and that was the difference. And people need to quit repeating Chuvalo's bull**** story about making Ali **** blood and sending him to the hospital. That didnt happen and its easy to verify. Chuvalo always tries to claim some moral victory by saying "I lost the decision but afterwards I went out dancing with my wife and he went to the hospital." Unfortunately for George, like most of his stories, this one is false and easily disproven. After the fight Ali took a shower and dressed in his dressing room in a nice suit and bowtie. He then went out and spoke to the press for half an hour (the press conference exists on film) and he hasnt got a mark on his face and notes the only time he was bothered was when he reinjured a knuckle on his hand that he hurt in sparring. Chuvalo showed up half an hour later after having been worked on in his dressing room. He emerged, still in his robe, with his face bruised and swollen and his right jaw swollen as bad as Ali's was after the first Frazier fight. In fact Chuvalo makes note that he only hit Ali a couple of times solid. Immediately after the press conference Ali didnt go to the hospital, he hopped on a plane back to the United States where he was due to begin negotiations for his next fight the following day and thats all verified by the newspapers as well. Im not sure why people always take Chuvalo's word for how his fights played out. The guy said he was robbed against Terrell and that the fight was fixed when in fact he lost nearly every round. He said he was winning every round against Frazier when he got hit with a lucky shot, in fact hed lost every round and it was the same shot Frazier had been landing since the first bell. He said the Foreman fight was stopped too early and that Foreman was tiring when in fact Foreman was teeing off Chuvalo who was cowering in a corner. He said that the ref in the DeJohn fight was crooked and was helping DeJohn but neglects to mention that the ref helped DeJohn up only after Chuvalo fouled DeJohn while DeJohn trapped through the ropes and ignored the command to break. He said he was robbed against Patterson, Bonavena, and Cleroux, he wasnt. Maybe Chuvalo isnt the most reliable man to be getting your information from in regards to how well he did against Ali or anybody else frankly considering he had an excuse (and a lie) handy every time he fought.

He knocked him twice inside 2 rounds how that is not easy time with him?
Losing edge?I don't know when knocking someone out in 1st round is losing edge.
He knocked Williams so hard and so bad that made Liston look like he did easy on Williams.
It was comptetitive and very good fight,Holmes beat him but Berbick put a good fight.
Proving that Foster was very durable guy.
Bonavena and Frazier did gave Ali better fight but did they last 15 full rounds?

    1. You need to learn how to use paragraphs.

    2. These were my exact words. " suffering a busted eardrum in their first fight, and being rocked and staggered in their 2nd fight, and on the losing edge of a slugfest until he unleashed a vicious right hand." which I got from ringside reports I'd be more than happy to provide for you if you like. I've obviously never seen the fight so I can't stay for certain.

Anyways, maybe you can answer the question, I've been asking the biggest idiot on the forum. Out of all of these washed up relics Foster faced, which one of them were ranked?

I wasn't the one who made the claim Chuvalo gave Ali problems. It was the aforementioned idiot
Anyways do you agree with the initial assertion that started this discussion that Foster gave Ali a "helluva fight"?

He didn't knock Williams out in the first....
    Um what?
Berbick won a max 2 rounds. One judge didn't give him any.
Are you forgetting you criticized Foreman, Frazier, Liston etc for not going 15 while saying Foster gave Ali a helluva fight because he went the distance?

Because judge did stop the fight if he didn't he would kill Williams.
Yes he knocked Williams like Liston but even faster.
Then why Holmes could not knock him if the fight was not competitive?
    Berbick won 3 rounds.
Agaim if Ali had the easy time with him why he did not stop him?
    What's next excuse for that?

The man wouldn't fall. I really don't think anything more can be said than that. i don't think it's an excuse... Ali had a number of legendary attributes, he came up against another man who had one and it was Chuvalo and his chin.

Both fighters put up a valiant fight, Ali won, Chuvalo wouldn't allow himself to be stopped and remained game enough to stay in the fight.

    Again.... what?

Once again, a lie. Liston stopped Williams in 2 and 3 rounds in their respective fights. Foster 3 and 5. Foster was also facing a much worse version of Williams. One whom was literally shot.

You're quite simply an idiot. Just because a fight goes the distance doesn't mean it's competitive. They are not mutually exclusive. Did Lyle give Young a hell of a fight just because he went the distance? No. Both fights were virtual shut outs with Lyle winning one round in 2 fights.

He beat Williams and did not struggle unlike Liston.
Foster did not struggle unlike Liston and was not as hurt as Liston trying to KO Williams.
They were easy wins and Foster had only 24 fights.
Also excuses, tons of excuses for your hero Williams like always.
He was shot he was this he was that...what's next excuse aliens kidnapped him?
    It's not competitive?
So Ali vs Bonavena or Chuvalo is not competitive?
What a nonsense, I think that, you are butthurt because your heroes never went 15 rounds especially with Ali.

I will say this for Big Mac, no one wanted to fite him , he was Intimadating , especially the big gun contenders who had more to lose, Jerry Quarry defeated 4 top 5 World contenders , Mathis, Foster, Lyle and Shavers . who had a combined 117-3 fite record with 105 knockouts when they fought Jerry.- Quarry barely lost a round, and was not cut in any of the bouts.

I'm glad you saw the fight. I'll definitely take your word over ringside reports.
Oh yeah I forgot Ezzard Charles was shot at 32 years old but a 36 year old literally shot Williams is fair game.

Well Ali VS Bonavena didn't go the distance so I don't know why you brought that up but yes Bonavena gave Ali a mudh better fight than Foster.
I'm not "butthurt" nor do I have heroes.

Again, can you point me to where on film, any moments that support your notion that Foster gave Ali a "helluva fight"? (82) Muhammad Ali vs Mac Foster 1972-04-01 - YouTube

You mean ringside reports you made not the full articles just to make Williams look good?
Like last time you didn't quoted full article just a part where your hero looks good ha ha...also Klompton saw both fights and he said they were not even competitive.
    Did Williams had brain injury?
    Nope.
Lou Gherig disease is alot worse than being shot because when you're shot you can still function like Williams/Lyle while with brain problems you can't.
Thank you for proving my point again.
But did he lasted full 15 rounds?
Foster did and gave Ali as good fight as Lyle or Bonavena but he Lasted full 15 rounds.
