Troy Williamson vs Josh Kelly - Dec 2nd

This solely depends on how Williamson makes the weight for me, how he makes 11 stone I don’t know, if he makes it okay and has time to rehydrate fully, he stops Kelly for me. I can’t find the weigh in anywhere though? Want to see what he looks like before I go throwing money on him

Williamson looks incredibly lean. A lot leaner than Kelly, obviously. They seem to get on quite well.

 

I always thought Kelly was too big for 147 but at 154 he looks very small next to Williamson.

Is Williamson bigger than the likes of Fowler and Liam Williams?

 

Kelly was hyped up a bit but he doesnt even talk near as much as other fighters so hardly insufferable.
In the boxing game you need to have a bit of an ego to build that hype, Kelly honestly seems more down to earth than most lol.

I expect Kelly to box his nut off for 3 or 4 rounds and then get battered lol.

Kelly has very good offensive skills but stamina issues, not much power and when he gets tired becomes a walking target.

I actually would like to see Kelly win, but dont think its very likely.

 

I can't see Kelly winning. He'll probably do well for the first few rounds but can see Williamson taking over and dominating. Kelly seems very low on confidence.

I don’t think Kelly wants it anywhere near as badly as Williamson does and that’s bad news in a 50/50 12 round fight, apparently Kelly lives a pretty comfortable life outside of boxing. Didn’t look in the best of shape at the weigh in, think this is only going one way but who knows

Williamson is technically coming down 2 weight classes from his previous fight in September, he looks in great condition but I do wonder if it will affect him

I'm really looking forward to Kelly v Williamson.

I watched the Avenesyan fight last night and Kelly did look extremely sharp early doors but couldn't really make a dent in Avenesyan who just hounded him with pressure until Kelly wilted.

Now Williamson does carry power but it all comes down to whether he can apply the sort of sustained and educated pressure that a top operator like Ava was able to do.... against a Josh Kelly who will be carrying a little more pop at 154.

If he can't, then he could very well be chasing shadows whilst being lit up, particularly in the first 6 rounds.

 

It's a (fairly) even, and potentially exciting British title fight on free television, on a Friday night, fantastic!

I think JK looks good early doors, but tires down the stretch, and loses a late TKO, either way, it's a great little contest, shamefully under promoted

 

I could be wrong (usually am) but the more I think about it, the more I fancy a wide UD for Kelly.

 

My thoughts too. Don't rate Williamson.
