I disagree that he could have gotten a shot any earlier.

Klitschko's trainer Emanuel Steward picked out Fury as the future of the division. Klitschko would have been well aware of this fact. Fury was jumping through hoops and fighting the eliminators put in front of him to get that title shot, and he was going from strength to strength with each fight.

At that time, Klitschko looked to be delaying that fight with Fury for as long as he could, fitting in one last pay day in America against Jennings before the inevitable show down.

Though I agree it is a mark against Fury that he never gave Wlad the rematch after the way the first one went down.

Also I think Whyte is a solid defence

I must say saying that it has been so sh*** to me shows that he has not necessarily come though the whole process.... If he came out and said it was cr@p but he is the person he is today because of it it would ring a different tone... But think he is still very fragile. And the fact he could not deal with retirement for 2 weeks shows his instability....

Once you're at the top you are also under a microscope by the public. Constant criticism, annoying media questions, ugly rumors. It needs a strong and stable personality, tight-knit team and family to handle it well.

I would not call that farce a "beating".

Conveniently leaving out prime Chagaev, Sultan, Pulev, Haye, Thompson twice and being the 1st to KO Peter to name a few.

Fury beat a 40 year old very long time ago and still talks about it.

Hopefully he’s in a better place now after last weekend’s victory
