I don't care what anyone says, he lost to Tibau who was just an average ufc fighter and he has very very few top elite level wins. Even his win over Conor looks sub standard as Conor has never really proven himself to be an elite fighter above 145.
While I'm also of the opinion that Khabib is elite, his career was kind of short to confer godlike status on him. "Greatness" usually means a long period of dominance over a varied field. I personally would push GSP over him in terms of greatness
Jones, GSP, Fedor and Anderson are the Mt Rushmore of MMA imo. Khabib is vying with Aldo for the no 5 spot. He was dominant but his resume lacks depth for a 29-0 guy. Another 3-4 more fights operating at the level he was at and he'd have solidified himself, but he got out too early.
Aleksandr Karelin went 887-2 as a wrestler and won multiple Olympics golds, yet gets no mention. Why did a guy make a list about something he knows so little about?
Khabib is truly amazing and unbeatable but I don’t think he’s better than Muhammad Ali. I am a fan of both but Muhammad Ali is the greatest boxer of all time.
Exactly. Especially considering it’s a list of ‘FIGHTERS’ Khabib would literally make Floyd scream for mercy or help in an actual FIGHT. And deep down Floyd fan boys know this. That same Kimura that Khabib hit on Johnson would have Floyd screaming to “Stop”
