Fury toys with Usyk, and I'm a Usyk fan. There is no scenerio anyone can think of that Usyk wins. Fury too much in punching and boxing regard. Period/
Yeah before I was thinking it might be close but now I am leaning towards Fury in a more dominating fashion. I would actually give AJ more of a chance than Usyk.
Hard to judge Cant judge from AJ and Chisora they arnt half as good as Fury Usyk is slippy, southpaw helps him a lot. Fury can throw from all angles though.
If Usyk’s team makes sure they have a ref that will enforce the rules… Usyk wins and wins comfortably
I saw nothing tonight to change my feelings on that matchup. I still think that Joe Joyce, not Usyk, will give Fury the toughest bout of his career. But Tyson will beat both.
Jacques my friend...you are talking about a southpaw, capable of throwing 1000 punches in a fight, who has never been down as a pro. I don't buy into Fury being "scared," but he knows this is going to be the toughest fight of his career by a country mile, and he is visibly rattled. Want the scenario? Fury can't defend the stance, can't dent his chin, and swallows 100 more punches over 12.
Usyk will box circles around Tyson Fury and make it look easy. In fact it will be surprisingly easier than the two AJ fights.
It's a very interesting fight, hard to know how they'll match up in the ring until it happens, particularly because you can't really tell how fast they are compared to the other right now and speed is key to both. Fury can beat anyone on his night, probably. But if he gets sloppy/overconfident and/or Usyk has his best night, Fury might just lose. The biggest problem Fury will have will probably be Usyk's speed and precision. It's one thing fighting short fat plodders, it's another fighting agile short fighters. I could see Fury getting frustrated trying to find and time Usyk and maybe walking into punches, losing rounds and even getting into trouble. I could also see a sharp Fury being very hard for Usyk to hit and just being able to land more, even if not completely clean, but basically dominating the fight. It is hard to see either stopping the other since they both survived far bigger punchers, but wouldn't be surprised to see Usyk hurt like Wallin was and go into survival mode, or Fury getting buckled by an accurate shot. As for the judging bias, it's a little hard to know. The fact is that British scoring is corrupt but Fury is a wildcard because he's hated by the establishment and isn't part of Matchroom/Sky, who are the main corrupt powers. Remember when the English judge in the US actually gave the first fight to Wilder. Usyk was almost robbed by AJ, but Fury is not AJ. It's possible Usyk actually gets the advantage given the Anglo crusade for Ukraine.
I don't know, altough it could turn into that, Usyk can outbox Fury and potshot the cokehead to decision victory. Fury has never faced an elite fighter like Usyk in their primes who's more accomplished than he is.
Fury too big and too good, he’ll bust Usyk up. He’ll stink out the joint if need be, he may lose to Joyce but not Usyk.
I was actually thinking this earlier. I think Fury’s power won’t keep Usyk as honest as Joshua’s did. And even in the Joshua fight after getting cracked a few times… Usyk was NOT overly wary of Anthony’s pop. When Usyk smells even a little blood… he’ll go at Fury even more relentlessly I think. That left hand of Usyk’s is by no means a Wlad or Wilder right hand. But when he sets it up right and counters with it, it has a sneaky type of power behind it that Fury might underestimate. And it’s fast. He can hurt Fury and he’s a good swarmer. A stoppage for Usyk isn’t impossible at all here. Especially after cracking Fury enough times in the later rounds.
