What percentage of pro boxers do you think are on PEDs ?

Every pro athlete who can afford them is on them. The real question is what percentage of amateur athletes under 21 are on them. I'd bet even that is well over half.

 

Having been in the amateur and regional scene for a while I know for a fact virtually everyone is on something. I cant imagine it decreases in the pros with higher stakes and earning potential even with better testing.

I think it's about 30 to 50%. And beyond that I believe there's quite the difference in what level of peds they's actually using.

The reasoning about that is this;
First of all, there will be many boxers that fear detection (If you're not American, Mexican or a Brit it might end your career), have too much of a concience or simply don't have the money/recources to get the good (hard to detect) stuff.
In many countries there's actual out of competition testing and thus the users would have to be careful what they take to not be detected and stuff that would have some sort of "I have no idea how that got into my body" excuse option.
Plus many boxers think about their longtime health and wouldn't go full Evan Fields.

Idk and i ptobably dont care. But i do know Trinidad is a cheater. He low blowed Vargas to win that fight.

Ps. I just rewatched the fight and felt i needed to vent, and read the word PED and thought of it as cheating in the truest form. My bad but **** trinidad

 

I voted 10-30% as I doubt most club level fighters are. They don't earn enough money to risk it and/or afford the chemists to assist with cycling and masking agents.

I suspect most/virtually all world class boxers are.

 

The thing is you can take quite a hefty amount without danger of failing the testing protocols.

The guys that get caught are pushing the limits.

Exactly. There are no world champions who are totally clean IMO. There might be be a few who are in top 20 in their weight classes. Even in top 10 but I doubt it.

 

Or, they’ve been I’ll informed about the ‘random’ drug testing schedule - eg Canelo.
