There seems to have been some movement from the WBA. Though it may just be lip service: WBA promise Dubois vs Lerena review after rematch calls https://www.*****.net/2022/12/10/wba-promise-dubois-vs-lerena-review-rematch/
I actually think Lerana is a bit better than many had thought and is operating at somewhere near fringe major world title contender status like Dubois.
Very honest assessment by Lerena in that interview. Seems reluctant to bury the timekeeper or refereeing too harshly and doesn't talk about the two serious punches thrown after the bell by Dubois. I have to say him admitting his error by being too calculated with his accurate philosophy of "a wounded animal is a dangerous animal" is pretty reasonable.
DD has the same problem that any heavyweight with significant muscle mass has when they take a head shot. The muscles sag as the brain takes priority for oxygen. Being ripped with muscle at that weight no doubt serves well for getting fans and sponsors but it makes them less durable.
