    Japanese boxers and boxing is hardly my specialist area of knowledge either, D, that’s why I was interested to get people’s takes on it and keep it open enough that people felt they could contribute.

    Anyway, interesting list and I’ve had that Crazy Kim fight on my watchlist for some time based on your recommendation so I should really give that a watch!

    You really should it's a crazy fight so many twists and turns, arguably the best 10 round fight i've ever seen.

    Allow me to introduce a modern component:

    Yuki Beppu vs Ryoto Yada (I consider this the best fight ever- watch it)
    Jin Sasaki vs Kaiki Yuba
    Inoue vs Donaire
    Kazuto Ioka vs Kosei Tanaka
    Gakuya Furuhashi vs Yusaku Kuga (1, not 2)

    The best three?

    Godzilla ( of course )
    Mothra
    Rodan

    No wait we are talking boxing not giant monster fighting!

    Fighting Harada
    Naoya Inoue ( Monster )
    Maso Oba

    Those are my three picks. Three lower weight pearls of the Orient.

    Mike, that is one of the quaintest and best memories I have ever read. Getting all squared away with a copy of BN and a cuppa at your side is a priceless trip down memory lane. Awesome!

    1) Roman Chocolatito Gonzalez vs Akira Yaegashi - Chocolatito performance was a beautiful symphony of technical boxing and Yaegashi endurance was on the level of a Samurai warrior. For me, a must watch fight for everyone;

    2) Fighting Harada vs Éder Jofre I - No need for introductions - part I;

    3) Fighting Harada vs Éder Jofre II - No need for introductions - part II;

    4) Kazuto Ioka vs Donnie Nietes II - After a very close 1st bout, Ioka showed in the rematch that he is the better fighter and that's the case by a very large margin. Great performance;

    5) Kuniaki Shibata vs Vicente Saldívar - Shibata's performance at the age of 23 against such a great fighter like Saldivar was absolutely perfect. Brilliant fight;
