Wlad, but I think Wilder’s right hand is as strong as anyone’s.

    Agree.

Some of the heavyweights listed are cruisers nowadays, so it's a question how to consider them.

Usyk said Wlad was dropping people in sparring like no other, boxers got KO'ed so bad, that he was worried about their future

So I said Wlad but this comes with a caveat. Wlad usually used his power in a defensive style, in order to punish guys that got too ambitious. His true weapon was his jab and footwork. You would be much more likely to get a bone crushing power shot from Foreman than Wlad. You could make a kind of a 'bargain' with Wlad where you eat jabs and hooks off the jab all night and he doesn't drop the house on you. A guy like Foreman would be using his power all the way to send you to hospital.

Also this poll should have: Lewis, Wilder, Shavers. Hell, Sanders hits harder than about half that list.

Man you just got to revise this list.
Also it belongs in the "Classic" forum, where you will get exponentially more responses.
Just do it over, ask people over there suggestions, there are

you should have before the majority of guys here.

You are new here, with a confident moniker involving "Boxing IQ".

How on earth can you list a bunch of guys for a vote of hardest hitters ever...
Who weighed well under 200 lbs., often in the 180's...
Who could, for the last many decades, with day before weigh ins, made LHW?

Good as they were as boxers, are you aware that even in their day, against much smaller men, that guys like Tunney & Charles were never considered among the hardest hitters?!

Patterson? Great fighter. But nobody in the know would consider he hit as hard as a Liston, or Williams, or Galento, or Baer, or Sheppard...
Even Rocky & Tyson, hard as they hit, those who know the sport-& someone like Tyson himself-would tell you that shot for shot, guys hit harder.
Don't confuse effectiveness, volume, skill, combinations-with what you are inquiring about, pure power.

Holmes? Nobody out of an insane asylum would consider him near the best hitter of any era.
A ton of people he fought, from Witherspoon to Weaver to Cooney to Butterbean to Mercer...Hit harder.

Louis? Arguably the GOAT HW, at least for his era.
Nobody was better at finishing a man & laser-sharp combinations.
While his name is not as absurd as some of the others, he also did not hit as hard as many, many lesser fighters. Including some he fought...

As a matter of principle, do not just pick the greats.
There are a ton of candidates better than those you listed.
Vitali? Everyone acknowledges he did not hit with the greatest authority.
However good he was, especially work rate for someone his size...

I am seriously asking you, besides the dozens of others who were more qualified...

How & why did you list those I mentioned?

    Ezzard Charles?
Where did you even see anything to *suspect" someone like him, a great boxer but never suspected of being a top powerhouse...
OR others who weighed in the 180's, or guys only known for decent power like Holmes...

Should be considered for hardest hitter ever? :confundio:

Best one punch KO-power = maybe Wilder

Best KO-punch power in both arms = maybe W. Klitschko

    This content is protected
Most consistent power in both arms = maybe Ibeabuchi or Shavers
