He beat a bunch of domestic level fighters and a faded Kevin Kelly. Solid win for MAB but not a great win by any means

Domestic level fighters who were world champions like Paul Ingle, Steve Robinson who made 8 title defences.

Kevin Kelley was 47-1 and was world champion, again not really sure what you mean by "faded".

Hamed beat a solid list of contenders, champions, former world champions. And was P4P ranked number 6 when Barrera beat him of course its a great win.

I like Barrera more but I think Canelo ranks higher P4P. I rank Marquez over Canelo though.

He beat genuine world champions. He fought the best that were available at 126lbs and would of been the first 4 body undisputed champion if the sanctioning bodies had been a little kinder to him as he beat all the title holders. Remember Barrera came up in weight when he fought Hamed, Hamed was the clear number 1 at featherweight at the time, even Morales had only just moved up to 126 and had struggled to beat Espadas in a fight some scored for Espadas.

In hindsight we now know Hamed was mentally shot and his hands were giving him problems but you can't take that win away from Barrera. Even an unfocused Hamed with two bad hands would of beaten anybody at 126 not named Barrera or Morales at the time.

Let's not play dumb and act like holding a belt and making title defenses is the end all be all because if it did then Wilder would be considered one of the great heavy weights of our time. It also would unequivocally make Canelo greater than MAB. Kevin Kelly was at the end of his career aka not prime aka faded. Nice try though

Who's playing dumb ? Your just changing the goal post is all your doing. You claimed Hamed only beat "domestic fighters" then when i told you they were all world champions or former world champions. Now your saying just because they held a belt it don't make them good, like come on Hamed beat a solid list of fighters mostly all were world class.

Lastly again how was Kevin Kelley faded when he was the current world champion ? And had only lost 1 fight in an amazing fight to Alejandro Gonzalez he was 47-1.

My first impulse was MAB but there are some convincing arguments for Canelo on this thread. Ask me again in a few years when Canelo retires.

I voted Canelo at first but switched. Canelo on my cards lost to every ATG he had a chance at beating. His achievements are great, 4 div, three unified, 1 undisputed. But they're greater than the fighter behind them in my opinion.

Greatness requires great deeds. Barrera slayed a Dragon.

Canelo had 3 chances vs GGG. Couldnt get it done.

So all belt holders are world class champions your position? The only truely elite fighter Hamed faced was MAB and he was humiliated. The others were belt holders at best. I could name 100 "world champions" that aren't world class and so could you.

Like I said, if holding a belt or beating someone who once held a belt makes it a great win then you literally must put Canelo over MAB there is zero argument to the contrary using that logic

Steve Bunce who has watched thousands of fights has forgotten more about boxing than you will ever know rates Naz as one of the best British fighters ever, so hardly a hype job.I take my 50 yrs of watching boxing and Bunce`s opinion over yours any day of the week. The problem with Hamed his personality blinds people to his talent

Marco Antonio Barrera is the only man to ever beat Erik Morales in his prime.
