Get your crystal balls out. 3 years from now at the end of 2025 who do you think will hold a HW belt ?

I reckon Fury, Usyk, Joshua and Wilder will probably be retired. Fury is the youngest of these but once he's faced Usyk and possibly Joshua that will be him.

I think Joyce is a young and relatively fresh 37yr old and will be there with at least one belt. I also think Jalalov is the goods and with decent promotion should get a belt.

Dubois and Hrgovic looked poor in their last fights but I wouldn't rule them out.

Anderson is very raw but certainly has very good potential. To be there and thereabouts.

Andy Ruiz might still be around. But probably not fit.

Usyk retires after losing twice to Fury 2023...or best case for him is win 1 lose 1, still retires either way.

Fury gets stripped of the IBF belts again after 2 weeks and Eddie Hearn buys it for his fraud dead golden goose.

Honestly I don't care about belts. There is clear ranking for the Top 5 men in the division. Belts mean nothing.

The only man Fury hasn't beat who poses a challenge is Joe Joyce. Although Joyce would have been a walk for a fresher Fury, Fury can't fight Joyce the way he has been fighting these other guys.

Ultimately Joyce lacks selling power. If Warren could he'd pit Joyce against anyone not named Fury. He'd beat AJ pillar to post. Ideally that would be Joyce's next fight to take the claim and the manufactured prestige AJ has.

i don't think either of fury or usyk will have them by end of 2025 cause isee both being retired by then... i would say Joyce/aj/anderson probs have best chance of holding one.. even though joyce is old

I think the titles will be splintered by then. Fury and Usyk would be 37 and 38 by then so it's likely they may have retired by then and even if they haven't I still see the titles being splintered by the usual sanctioning body shenanigans. So anyone could be champion by then as we will have multiple title holders.

There will be at least two champions.

Usyk will retire after he beats Fury 2 times.

I think Joyce, AJ, Hrgovic and Bakole have a chance to be the champions at the same time.

Jalolov and Joyce are the ones I expect to win a world title after Usyk & Fury retire. Hrgovic has a good chance too. & Gassiev and Dychko, but it's if they get the opportunities.

    Bump.

Alot has changed in the last year. Now I don't see Hrgovic or Joyce winning titles next year. Jalalov has done nothing and Anderson has looked poor.

But AJ has looked much better as has Parker and Dubois. And Zhang could still be around and is dangerous. And Kabayel has emerged as a contender.

It's likely Usyk and Fury will retire next year.

So who do you think will have titles now at end of 2025 ?

If Fury and Usyk both retire then Joshua, Parker or maybe Dubois/Kabayel/Zhang could acquire a title but after that it gets a lot harder to see anyone getting one.

Hard to look outside of how it stands now tbh with Usyk Fury Joshua unless they have retired.Joyce Hrgovic Wilder are already done,Dubois whilst improving in his career still has a bit to go and the others mentioned have done very little to even get a title shot never mind be holding a belt in 2025. If however Usyk Fury Joshua do retire then this opens up the whole division up for those vying for title shots .

Parker Zhang and Kabayel are not an option in your list though unless we go with other, but surely these fighters on merit alone are above Jalalov and Anderson anyway

I'm picking Usyk to keep his belts for a full year before hanging his gloves up

I think Zhang will have the best chance but he`s not a big money fight so will be frozen out while he ages more and more.

    1. Parker
    2. Jai op
    3. Dubois
    4. Itauma
The division will be devoid of any real talent but it will be even more devolved of personality, jai has a bit to say but he is still at cruiser weight, I think he’s smart and waits it out until they all retire.
Itauma I don’t know about he looks good but that barnstormer style only works for so long, when you get to championship level you need to have options, the kid needs to get a real fight and put some rounds in.
I think the reality will be that the Saudi money will make fighters take bigger risks earlier on in their careers and that will change the game more than anything else in recent times, promoters used to protect their fighters and build their careers now it seems like they are already at the beaconed call of the Saudis, they are getting told the fights that will happen.
There’s no negotiation anymore if they want it to happen it will happen.
This will ultimately have a massive impact on the development of fighters in the short term and the long term.
It’s good to see fights happening but it’s a different world when someone has the promoters in their pocket.
The boxing world has been turned upside down and we haven’t even realised it yet.
You buy the promoter’s you have bought the sport.

does anyone else see it like this?

I think Usyk said he wants to fight on utill 40 so assuming he does I think he will still hold whatever belts have not been stripped I then see AJ picking up the leftovers and maybe fighting Fury or even Usyk or the winner of that fight fights him again so could very well all be back with him by then
