It's a PPV. Otherwise it would have taken place in January. Sky wanted it as far away from Eubank Smith as possible. Two good domestic fights which should never be PPV.

We are eagerly waiting for DAZN UK / Matchroom to announce their plans for the spring soon.

Okolie Light will clash with the Smith Arthur card in Liverpool.

Also on the undercard will be Liam Paro vs Robbie Davies Jr which is a great fight.

    It looks good for Sky.

I know Boxxer also have a solid main event at a UK Show in February, but what about DAZN UK / Matchroom ?

Doubt Sky care about clashing with DAZN.

Let's be honest it's a very underwhelming start to the year. The sport really is in the toilet at the moment

I am actually quite positive about the start we get in 2023. Normally, the month of January is stone dead and absolutely nothing happens in professional boxing, but I think there are several good things to look forward to in the first month of the year. Lovely.

By the way : I would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year !

I massively doubt Fury Usyk will happen in March, seems way too soon for both teams to cross the T's and dot the i's. Chisora 4 or Whyte 2 for Fury first THEN maybe we'll see him and Usyk in September.

The cynic in me wonders if there is enough time between Dec and Mar for certain cycles to happen
