I love this fight. Sonny showing off all his wares, though slightly dampened with age. He still looked very good and the stoppage was more than apt.

Tbh though, here we have Sonny again picking on a small man - 6’3” 215 lb Clark. A virtual Lilliputian.

Sure, Clark was only a young, durable contender with good potential and future successes forecast. But that’s just trying to disingenuously talk Old Sonny up. ;)

This was after Ali beat him? He wasn't as hungry as before he won the title where he was going through everybody

Sonny was just trying to make a living. He was doing what he knew how to do. I'm not sure how much he was putting into it by that time.

I love Liston's style even though it could be considered a little slow. With the length of his arms there's a real weight behind his punches, especially his hooks, it's as though there's a wrecking ball on the end of his gloves.

Honestly I don't think he looks different here to the Machen fight which is about his prime? If you ask me. About that Machen fight, I was surprised who bossed who on inside and clinching. Machen fought very negative, Liston almost fouled out it was that obnoxious but it was surprising and my main takeaway to see Eddie dictating and bossing the psychical side of the fight.
Edit: To specify I mean his hand speed doesn’t look different

Listons stamina is his most under the radar quality. Man was a machine.

Only our guy Pugs could work Lilliputian into a boxing forum post.
