Feel bad for old man Donaire getting his brains smashed by a prime fighter.

As an Inoue fan, I'd have given it to Beterbiev over Smith. I expected Smith to give at least as good a performance as Callum did but he was blasted out very impressively.

The Crawford knockout was better than that.

Yeah, that's ridiculous. As much as I love Inoue, that KO wouldn't make my Top 50.

    This is my number 1.

Leigh Wood’s was better, but obviously Inoue is a Top Rank fighter

Plants KO of Dirrell was better and more shocking as well.

    Quality of opposition matters.

Most people had Smith losing to Vlasov before the Beterbiev fight and Smith's always been known as a limited puncher. Hence instead of trying regain his composure after he the first KD, he kept running head first into Beterbiev's shots. Fight was waved off.

Anthony Dirrell was completely shot to smithereens.

Resurgent and rejuvenated Donaire was the clear cut #2 in the division and KO'd his way into the first fight and then KO'd his way to a rematch with some highlight beauties and snatched the WBC belt.

Donaire was wiped out in violent fashion. No one has ever destroyed Donaire — not even big ass weight bully Nicholas Walters against a fat Donaire.

Darrell and Avanesyan were true knockouts, Donaire was a stoppage. The recognition is for knockout of the year. It's as simple as that.
