Young CHRIS steamrolls the old man.

TKO (ref stoppage) around 7-9 after a game Smith ships too much unanswered CHARISMA

Tricky one to call for me.
I think Smith has much better technical ability but Eubank has the size advantage.

Pre Jones version of Eubank would have over worked Smith and maybe got a late stoppage.
However if Eubank tries to outbox Smith he's in for a long night.

Wouldn't be surprised is Eubank tries to Box for first 5-6 rounds before reverting back into scrap mode for later rounds.

Either way I'm looking forward to it unlike the Benn Eubank farce

    This is a decent fight.

I don't feel it's a PPV. However, my standards of what makes a PPV appear to be on the strict side when I ask other people. For me, they're reserved for genuine world level clashes where each fighter is a top of the bill guy in their own right and the meeting is a real event in boxing. This clearly isn't the case for Smith v Eubank, but it's definitely a fight that could go either way.

I like both guys. Eubank is a bit of a character and handled the Benn disaster well. He has his flaws, but nothing wrong with his heart and he does seem to have improved over time. Smith's a fine boxer, but I have a feeling he's on the downslope, even if not far down it yet, I think Eubank is going to win, but I wouldn't put my house on it.

A real 50-50 fight with loads of intangibles, Smith is underrated with old school good fundamentals, not great at any single aspect of the game, but good at most, tough and gritty, good with pressure, and able to grind down a fighters resistance. However I thought he looked a bit vulnerable in spots against Hassan Mwakinyo in his last fight, before Mwakinyo oddly quit, and I wonder what the result might have been were it Eubank hitting him with similar shots.

I also think Eubank has got under his skin a tiny bit..........

Think Eubank the destroyer version wins, at this stage of their careers, albeit not a confident pick, the Pound Shop RJJ however..........

I don’t see smith as a better all rounder, so many people sleep on Eubanks skills.

Smith may be better at jab jab right hand type boxing but in a fight you got to pick Eubank. I think if smith makes it a dog fight, up close and roughing up Eubank he will get battered. Eubank when he’s not posing and shoulder rolling can be ruthless.

I like smith he’s a good guy, straight talking bloke and good all round fighter. Eubank is bigger, faster, hits harder, solid chin, great stamina.

Agree about Eubanks skills being underrated he can be lazy and look sloppy in stints in a fight but he’s unorthodox and unpredictable which Smith certainly isn’t.and as you say has physical advantages over Smith.the more I think about it the more I fancy Eubank to stop him.

Frazer Clarke added to the undercard. I can't conjure up any enthusiasm for this guy's career for some reason

To be fair this is a brilliant card. Essuman Kongo has been added too. It shouldn't be PPV but it's going to be a decent night of action worth watching.
Ben Shalom said they'd go the "Joe Joyce route" with him. He's been going so slowly so far in his career. He's learnt nothing from all the fights he has had so far.

Probably a late stoppage for Eubank Jr in a competitive fight unless Smith gets on the sauce.

Much better fight than the Benn one. Hope the young warhorse looks to force a stoppage to further build the hype for the inevitable Benn fight next year rather than the dancing around we saw towards the end of the Williams fight.

If Eubank just keeps it simple and let’s his hands go when Smith is in range I think he batters him. I think Smith is there for the taking, 34, smaller man than Eubank, feels it to the body… looked in trouble against Fowler early before Fowler gassed out.. I think Eubank could stop him, however if Eubank is over confident and starts trying to showcase his skills etc and **** about because Roy is in the corner, it could be a different story, I still think Eubank wins on points even if he does that and even if people have Smith winning, because Eubank is a bigger brand

I get what you're saying about Smith being in trouble with Fowler, he definitely was. I think he was too. Fowler gassed though because of the intensity that Smith sets. He's more savvy that he looks with the pressure he applies. Williams had the same problem particularly in their first fight.

There's no getting away from the size difference here though. Eubank can really hurt him whereas I can't see Smith hurting Eubank. The match makers know exactly what they're doing here and I believe they see Smith as a stepping stone at this stage.

Give the edge to Smith, will definitely go the distance and can see Smith winning by 2-3 rounds.

Eubank has the edge in size, speed, stamina and mileage on the clock. Some not by much others like speed huge advantage. Also has a great chin which is way I say it does the distance.

Smith has the pedigree, experience and boxing IQ. And I think he's just an all round better boxer. He'll come in on the front foot with his usual high guard and look to pick shots off to gradually slow Eubank down.

Not sure how Smith could win when he can't KO Eubank and Eubank still got a 115-113 scorecard after being dominated by Groves (a bigger commercial brand than Smith by far).
There's no way he dominates like Groves did even if he wins more rounds.
So how would he ever get a decision?
This looks like an impossible fight for him, really.
