Native American boxers

    1) Who are the top American Indian boxers currently (and of all time).


    2) With a large percentage of boxing events held on Tribal sites will we see more Native American boxers rise to prominence?

    That is a very interesting point to argue but if Mexican Americans descended from Mexican Indian tribes would they be considered Native American Indians? Hmmm. Possibly. But U.S. tribal bloodlines do not consider Mexican tribes to be considered for enrollment in U.S. tribes.

    There are so many Native American mixed blacks and whites in America that it makes this question very difficult. I mean if you think about it most blacks born in the south or whose family is based in the south are mixed with Native Americas, the same with whites in the south.

    I think that the way to clear up any challenges or discrepencies are those who identify themselves as Native American Indian or it is commonly known that they are. For instance Sugar Ray Leonard's mother is part Indian but he doesn't identify as a Native or is commonly known. Joe Hipp is known to be Indian.
