No Limit have streamed early fights from shows on YouTube in the past pre Main Event/Foxtel portions of shows. I imagine they will continue to, but probably mix in some more experienced boxers rather than have boxers on debut/female boxers. Having said that I don't think I could watch a prelim show again. Some boxers being pushed on the prelim shows are very average/extremely difficult to watch.
Huni and Opetaia won’t be on a domestic based Main Event card again as it stands. Super short sighted move to my way of thinking. Time will tell how it plays out but generally monopolies don’t work real well. Just ask Sky Sports with Matchroom.
Grade-A porcelain china. Stopped by a man nearing 50 in his swansong fight. SBW was every bit as a protected joke as most of us said he was.
I rewatched Briedis Opetaia it was a great fight but still the best I could score it was 114-114 I still think Briedis got jobbed a bit in QLD in all fairness I had it 116-112 for Briedis without being bias nevertheless it was a great fight and a awesome performance from Opetaia who clearly fought on with a broken jaw.
Thats a shame, but I did read in the Courier Mail an article that mentioned that other events/shows can be shown on Fox/ME, but require the approval of No Limit Boxing. But doubt that NLB would give approval for a D&L event to be shown on Fox. Agreed with the move being rather short-sighted, especially if Liam and Tim both fail in their world title bids and they dont have any ppv draws. And the agreement is a multi-year deal for 50 events. George Rose has made no secret of the fact that NLB are actively looking for the "next Paul Gallen", but given the performance (i thought he lost) of their last nrl player and all the hype around him, I think it maybe awhile. I just feel that wont it end well as many wont wanna fork out for ppv featuring footballers, social media influencers and also dont believe NLB have the depth of talent to put on 10-12 quality shows a year.
One of the best fights I’ve witnessed live. Can say watching it ringside I had Jai up and he just had to see the final bell. One hell of a fight. Haven’t rewatched it tbh, it might come across differently on the box.
Any word on Tim tszyu opponent? They should seriously consider Harrison. If they want to beat Charlo Harrison is a good test but not a big puncher where he can be stopped. This while Charlo is scared nonsense is some of the dumbest stuff I've heard in a long time, as I consider Charlo a massive favourite in that fight. If Gausha could almost upset the apple cart charlo could destroy it. Alot of waiting time for boxers at the moment, feel sorry for Lucas Browne deserved that pay day against Charr to be left stranded? It's happened to him before with the Rich energy guy also.
What do you jabronis think of Jason Maloney's chances against either Nonito Donaire or avenging his defeat against Emmanuel Rodriguez if he can get a chance at a vacant title once the Monster moves up?
