How quickly will Wilder stop Ruiz in?

If Wilder tries to slug it out with Ruiz instead of hold him when Ruiz gets in, it'll be an early night for Wilder.

Andy Ruiz is tailor made for Deontay Wilder, he'll be knocked out within 6 rounds.

Ruiz has a decent chin, but he's easy to hit and Wilder has that concussive power.

 

All depends on how many tacos fatso eats.

 

I’m the furthest thing from a Fury fanboy but this is simply not true. A fighter who keeps eye contact with the referee, stands up in time with full control of his body then goes on to win the rest of the round is not knocked out cold.

We shouldn't read to much into Wilder's last win. Ruiz dropping Ortiz a couple of times was more impressive imo.

 

Ehh, neither win was impressive

Ruiz barely outboxed a 70 year old Ortiz and edged a decision thanks to the help of a knockdown that was actually a slip (the other KD's were legit though)

Wilder had a friendly one-round spar with a notoriously chinny fighter

But Ruiz's win tells us more about Ruiz, than Wilder's win tells us about Wilder, and it's enough to know that Ruiz doesn't cut it at the highest level and bar a minor miracle, he's getting stopped by Wilder

 

I think that if Ruiz has trained hard and studied Wilder, he not only won't get knocked out easily, but he has a chance of stopping Wilder himself.

Wilder sucks up close and Ruiz is dynamite once he gets into taco range. If Wilder can't keep it at length he's going to be eating flaming jalapenos all night courtesy of Ruiz. Wilder's problem is that his footwork just isn't that good and that Ruiz has fast and fluid combos that he can rattle off with power.

Now, sure, Wilder always has a chance due to his long range missiles, but its no guarantee.

 

Ruiz is skilled but hittable. If Wilder can land he can win.

If Wilder learned anything from AJ Vs Andy Ruiz 1, it's that he's going to win by knockout halfway through the fight.

 

If Ruiz can slip Wilder's right hand and get in, he has a real chance to win.
