Any word when tickets go up for sale? Due to be away with work for a few weeks soon and dont want to miss the release
Do we actually definitely even know the date? The lack of anything official is odd. Have we heard if someone has been injured in training? What's the rumour mill saying on this one? Is it in the balance?
Poor Catterall , he'll have wasted over a year of his career and will be 0-2 to show for it. With the 2nd loss actually a real loss. At least he'll have the paydays though.
Does anyone else think that this fight will get cancelled? I can see Jack pulling out 'injured' in the lead up, as quite frankly, the fight makes no sense for him. In all likelihood, Jack will get eviscerated in the rematch. Taylor is looking in much better shape and looks much more focused in this camp so far. Its looking very likely that Jack caught him at the perfect time last year: poorly coached, unmotivated, dead at the weight due to being badly out of shape. Jack's reputation is as high as it ever will be at the moment, so I can see him looking to pad out his record for another couple of years before stepping up again - ie pre Tzsyu Hatton WBU style. I think that would be the smart move for him, keeping his name out there whilst 'struggling' to get the names until Taylor, Prograis, Ramirez, et al are older and past their best. I can't see him making 'life changing' money out of this rematch, so better to fight the Manchester Arena for 4 fights to cash in. If he loses badly to Taylor, which should be very likely, then its back to the small halls for Jack, as his shine will have been buffed out.
Young pro Joe Hayden is sparring Catterall this week. Excellent experience for Hayden. Looking forward to Catterall rematch. And for anyone interested Hayden fights 10 Feb in Rotherham
